Didn't believe you first, than I checked Wikipedia and saw that he really is a robot. Mind = blown. Thank you for opening my eyes. However, that does not change the fact that if you fire a gun from where your wrist should be, but you have no wrist, cause you've got a gun instead - you have sacrificed your wrist for a gun. Now before anybody tells me that the said wrist is actually behind the gun, I will have to ask what the point of a weapon is that is occupying your hand permanently, but apparently has a very compact mechanism. So compact in fact that you could strap that thing to your head and fire it via voice command..... The main question before I support this idea, would I be able to hold the button to charge a shot? I want massive plasma blasts, in addition to quick, weak blasts.
Heh, I would like to see him try. He can use only 1 weapon based power at a time whereas Samus can use almost everything she finds together A beam that can shoot ice, plasma, electricity and charges up certainly beats any single weapon Megaman has. And when you bring other tech into play Samus is a Demigoddess. Speed booster, Screw Attack, Space Jump, Power Bomb, Missiles and Super Missiles. Megaman is awesome yes but to try and compare him to Samus is as futile as comparing Master Chief to her. On the subject of the thread, I really really want to see Arm Cannons in any form cuz they are awesome.
... have you ever even placed Mega Man X?! He has pretty much every weapon you just listed, as well as a boomerang gun that goes through walls... Mega Man has a legitimate wall hack, nuff said. P.S. That includes the armour upgrades!
In response to the two comments about Samus and Megaman above, I think that to avoid the inevitable war about the two I should state that they are more likely to work together to kill all the bad guys than fight each other. Plus if they did fight each other they would probably blow each other up and then come back to life in their respective ways, Samus with some alien stuff and Megaman would just get rebuilt AGAIN.
Oh, come on! Meega Man? I see this thread and the first thing I think of is Iron Man. That's an arm cannon too (right?). But, whatever that's completely irrelevant. Neat idea. Has potential. Approved. I think I'm done here.
You have never encountered a Samus and Megaman fan duking it out in person or on a forum and you should be glad. It gets pretty bad. And no Iron Man's lil palm burster things aren't exactly arm cannons. More like a glove type weapon.
hmmm, I think I actually like that better though; after all, he could still take it off when he wanted. A permanent arm cannon on the other hand....
I actually also thought of Astro Boy when I saw this thread, haha would be sick especially like charged lazer cannons!
Opinion. And, I obviously approve of arm cannons. You wouldn't need to "chop off your arm", the cannon could simply form around your arm. And, either way, prosthetic limbs could be VERY interesting (amputate arms, replace with transforming robotic arms).
Could be fun. But Honnestly, I'd only see that on Glitches (The robots). Why? Evry species have a different anatomy. I'm thinking about Avians for exemple: They have wings. Sure it's easy to just cut it arm halfway and insert a canon but... I dont know. Just seems weird. + Where would the ennergy come from? Florans could get ennergy trough photosynthesis, Glitches trough Stored electricity/ennergy sources, but what about the other races? Yes we can say ''Screw those details'' and add a arm canon just like Samus's. But.. I don't know. Without the full armor set, It kinda look weird to me. And I want to hold my Coffe cup too.
