Hey love this race! Quick question. When future updates are implemented will we need to star a new character over again?

 

Only if it modifies things that have to do with character creation or possibly (maybe not) quests. If it changes the ship, all you have to do is delete your characters .shipworld file. So now that we're mostly done with character creation, new characters shouldn't be an issue.

Nope, once I add those, it won't require a new character.

have you ever thought of making any of the other TES races, like the Khajiits or such?

 

Yes, Sabboth and I have been planning to make the Khajiits after we finish the Argonians and take a short break. There's a lot of work going in to each race with complete Tier 1 - 10 armors and weapons, custom starting clothes, ship and ship upgrades and (spoilers!) a full index of inspection quotes. After the Khajiits we may also make Orcs, but we're yet undecided whether or not we want to go through all the work of making all the other Men and Mer races as they are so close to the vanilla humans and modded elves, respectively (lore aside).

EDIT: Got some rather lusty and/or sultry clothing finished. Expect a mini-update with them, a few cosmetic changes and some typo scouring within 24 hours.

Just to let everyone know: there are a few cosmetic issues I've taken note of and we will have fixed for the 0.3 update once we roll that out. If you see anything, let us know so we can add it to the list.

Though I'm not sure if would make use of it, would you terribly mind if I took that maid costume and put a (perhaps slightly altered) copy in the Felins mod?

 

I recently downloaded this mod and tried it, and I gotta say: I love it. Argonians have always been my favorite race from the Elder Scrolls Series, and I've played an Argonian in every game. I'm overjoyed to get to play an Argonian in Starbound as well, seeing as I didn't particularly like any of the vanilla races, but I have an inquiry:

I'd like to be able to change the ship from the default one to the USS Gilgamesh from this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/starbound/mods/81/?
Now, the instructions for the mod say to simply replace the original race's ship folder in the /assets folder, but seeing as this is a custom race, I imagine things would be different. I'm not certain how to accomplish this, but I'm tortured by the tiny ship size of vanilla Starbound, and desperately want to change it. Could you help at all?

If the mod comes with a .dropships file, you should be able to just replace all of the files in the mods ships folder. I'm pretty sure.

 

Due to the spritework for that particular piece of clothing being done by April and not myself, I would rather not. You can feel free to use it as a template as long as what you do with it can adequately be distinguished enough where users won't make the connection.
