Are this features abandoned?

All I got out of this was "Waaaaaaah. I don't understand what under development is"

Hunger & Temperature systems will make a return they aren't gone forever.

As for being "dumbed-down"... I really dislike when people put it like that. Mainly because once again, still a work in progress.

Besides. Simple works. And draws more players/more income. If the base game is "casual" and higher difficulties really cranked up the challenge I would love it.

 

The fact that you don't see how dumbing down the game can drag down the whole experience regardless of difficultly setting is incredible.

I was always against the dumbing down of the game. I am however not going to complain about how long it will take to complete the game or say that they lied or took the money and ran or that they are lazy.

 

Neither will I. They could still offer refunds to turn critics frowns upside down, but ...

And none of us know if they are lazy or not. Last time I hacked and watched the office CCTV they were apparently slaving away at their desktop PC's.. then again, they could have been playing "I am smarter than you" word-war games on intellectual-troll sub-reddits, so WE DON'T KNOW if they are lazy or not.

A mockup? Really? So are you implying the stuff in the screenshots is nothing but an artwork and never existed in any form you could grab? What about the other old advertising screenshots? Oh man... where did I get into...

Implementation is a whole different matter, change happens, life goes on.
features are not "gone", they are being reworked so hold your horses until you see the final product.
The displayed "features" have no depth, they're quick fillers.....it's too easy to add a billion conditionals like "must wear this suit to walk on this surface", can make them a rainbow colored set too but theat's just a nuisance without thought or depth. What about terrains that are both very hot and very radioactive? What then? Kind of screwed, huh?
The same with the scrapped tech version of the protections, "remember to enable this to be fine in a sub zero world"....tadaa it's magic.

Seriously dude, let them freaking work and stop using your hurt area for "thinking".

Just my 2 cents on that mockup which the devs apparently showed us a while back. Ok for using to show which direction it is going if it would be stated that this is not actual game content and just a type of schematic. Not ok if said mockup is not presented as mockup and/or used to advertise the game.

Not sure which applies here though, I am not that long arround to look into that.

 

I am excel at reality checking. I can see the major progress being done, and I see how shallow and empty the original concept for the features was. I'm sure there will be some mod that makes a vast array of suits in a rainbow pattern with each one required to survive in each different planet/biome to make you happy. Equip the pink suit to be fine in clear blue skies because mosquitoes.....also good luck vs lvl 10 crawlies who will chew your unprotected behind in one bite.

 

If you can see 'major' progress than your concept of reality and the actual definition of reality are two different terms. Full stop.

As of right now all you are doing is denying, which only tells me you are completely ignorant of the content in the last stable versuus the content in this upcoming stable. If you can't tell the difference you are in denial and that's an absolute fact.

I don't care about your petty bitterness about the game not having some stupid thing you may be crying over and I've seen people cry over the dumbest things.

If that's all you got out of that video you've got some highly selective memory......oh there's quests, biomes and all these other great thing but it's hard to be pissed off at something good so let me pick the one that seems insignificant and go on a mighty whine march!!
