Why don't you make a custom 'Gas' projectile would it not be easier than spawning an enemy

That is a great question. You see a player projectile is unable to affect himself, another player or anyone of the same damage team, at least in Angry Koala but I believe this to still be the case. So to affect the player it needs to have an opposing damage team entity ID. Which means I need a aggressive NPC/Monster to spawn to grab the ID from so I can use that ID to affect the players.

 

Hmm you saying that how does the heal bomb work then? it heals you but it uses the gas projectile. Got me real confused now

Was that fixed in Furious Koala? There were multiple threads where Heal Bomb was mentioned that it didn't work/crashed the game. When I tested gas projectiles they only worked with PVP on and not in party.

There was even a mod simply to make the heal bomb not crash players.

I came up with the non liquid one once I started using LUA, and it as a tech. Currently my status affect work around works except when on a ship (as a player cannot be damaged on their ship), however I will look into gas projectiles again to see if it could help streamline the code some more.

One thing i am noticing, on the Tabula Rasa, getting the lvl 10 magic book requires a lvl 7 book, not lvl 9. I do not know if this is the same issue using the enchanting table, but I assume it is..

 

I... I just checked and my tabula rasa shows a level 9 spellbook, and I just downloaded and installed it again... I do not see that error. However it shows a cost of 5000 pixels and it should be 50'000 but that'll be updated next time I have a large bug to fix.

 

So that why I keep seeing buffed mobs... It even buffed me.

Hello Seterwind, It seems like the mod is interfering with other tech. I can't use the dash mod from the game.

 

That is odd, I have tested and can use other techs just have to select them in the inventory.

Currently Starbound only allows you to use one tech at a time. So you could use the dash tech or the magiTech. Not both at once.

Can you not use it at all, and if so a screenshot would help me debug the problem further.

It works great, but why does it sometimes say fizzle and my spell doesn't cast even though I see the words pop up?

 

Fizzle appears when, you do not have enough energy, if an invalid spell is keyed in, or if you attempt to cast a spell and do not have spell book in hand.

Sometimes you might press another direction key before casting making it an invalid spell. (Like pressing left for cure light and accidentally hitting left again before casting).

Hope that solves the issue.

New Spells! You guys have helped me come up with some new spells, and editing some exsisting.

Arcane eye will highlight ore instead of enemies!
Teleport to Surface Spell (hopefully if it's doable).
Summon Greater Guard turned into Summon Legion.
Magic Arrow to drop from the Hunting Pool, instead of default pool, so you get meat and thingsl.
Black Hole to act more like gravity slam.
Summon Platform.
A Fly Spell! (Tier 10)

General balance on damage, and buff time. Fixing of shield.

Better sfx, animation and gfx.

Due to work, I do not think I can get these done and tested until next Friday. I will still patch any bugs as soon as reported. So far 3 days no bugs .

 

What the devil is an Avian Moon Emblem -.-
The crafting for these books are so random I can't even build the second book, and have had to go without using this mod (while it was still installed and running) for ages now, I've progressed from square 1 with this mod to Threat 10, and I STILL haven't been able to use anything from this mod except the first book.

I just barely decided I needed to know what the other books were like so I installed a cheat item spawner, and I STILL was unable to get the moon emblem or some of the other items for the other books (Disregarding the fact that I couldn't get them anyway, since I couldn't get book 2).
