"Oh sorry, no I'm not a researcher, but I've been with them, some of them died already but we've been trying our best to keep it together." Hunter steps forward with his pistol firmly locked on the moving shrub. Eyes stern, and stare is cold. Looks like Hunter isn't afraid to face danger at all any more.
Some time has passed since Jackson covered his wound with the mud and he had almost nodded off. He then realized his wound was no where close to healing but due to the mucky gooey substance it had stopped bleeding. He also noticed something else. His arm was almost completely numb. He was unsure if it was from contact with the mud or through bloodstream, but either or he made sure he had four vials full this time. He was proud of this discovery and begun to head towards the group, while walking he thought to him self. Should he invest in one of those handy utility belts? "Hell yes!" He said to himself, and then continued walking.
Deep from the shrubbery pops out the most fearsome and dangerous animal the group has ever seen. From it's small body, and big ears...to it's small whiskers and fluffy tail. Some would call this monster the bringer of destruction, others willfully say it's a demon from another dimension. Some even dare to call this foul beast of the nine realms by its real name.... The Bunny. SpOooooooooOOOOOOoooooooky!
Hunter drop kicks the bunny back into the dense forest. Or at least that's what his body seemed to want him to do. Hunter walks up to the bunny "Oh I used to have a lot of these around my old neighbourhood. It's a surprise that it's even the same species."
Chuckling, Sheriff casually depressed the trigger on his rifle, striking the rabbit in the head. "Glibber!" He called, picking the bunny up by its hind legs. "Got ya some meat that may be a lil better for ya than those damned beasts." Setting his rifle back on his shoulder, he turned back to Hunter, responding, "Well, the cavalry's here for you boys. No more dyin' on our watch." Motioning to his team, he called out, "Saddle up boys! Looks like we found 'em." Pulling out a celebratory cigarette, Sheriff coughed, spat, and gestured to Hunter. "Lead on, partner."
"Ah right, you want to see the others, some of them should be at the ship, I'll take you there, maybe we'll cross Silas on our way there." Hunter heads off in the direction of the ship, but stopping to see who's following.
The sphere goes speeding like a bullet in the direction he threw it before eventually teleporting back into his gloved hand...
when hunter turns around Nettles is right in his face "humansss got in nettles way! Human be more careful or Nettles burn just for fun!" He was giving a warning, but he still had a lot of skin exposed, if this human grabbed his arms in any way his skin would feel like its on fire.
Eitama took another swig of whiskey. He had stood by and watched as his companions tore apart the wildlife mercilessly. Glipper was definitely unstable, he'd have to keep his eye on him. When Hunter began marching away, Eitama began following after him, a safe distance behind.
A few moments later Snab spotted Jackson. "Hi, seeing as the others have likely moved already: We should regroup where we believe the researchers to be. That way." Snab informed him pointed at the general direction of the ship and walked with him. "So... Did the mud work?"
Sheriff, startled by the sudden appearance of the feral Floran, started to shoulder his rifle, before reconsidering. Instead, he extended one hand, palm facing out to show he had no other weapon, while the other found his badge. "Didn't mean no harm, fella', we just got some business in these parts. Rest easy." While waiting for a response, he turned his head slightly to Hunter, whispering, "No sudden moves, ya hear? Don't want to be makin' enemies of the natives, trust 'ol Sherriff."
"I'm not too sure, but it definitely made my arm numb." He said whilst pointing to his mucked up arm. They began walking towards the group, Jackson then spotted Sheriffs head. Jackson walked out of the bushes and looked towards Sheriff then interrupted their conversation. "Who are these people?" He said while looking around.
The rain finally slows down to a halt, and the clouds begin to dissipate. Now that the rains isn't obscuring the view, the island is actually quite pretty. Birds are chirping, the insects are buzzing around, and accumulated rain glistens off of the leaves of the shrubbery.
Silas pulled Hunter aside, out of anyones hearing range. 'I found a map in the box, and I don't really trust anyone else but you. It's likely that if you stick with a large group like this, you'll attract more predators, and have a higher chance of dying. If you come with me, I can save you. Either die in the mud here, or come with me.'
Eitama hears this entire conversation, but says nothing. These two clearly aren't the researchers they were sent to find. Avali have like, super amazing hearing of magicalness.
Jackson noticed Eitamas ears perk up. He stopped his question and walked over to Eitama. "What did you hear?" He asked questionably.
Eitama speaks quietly. "The two newcomers are going to run off and leave us. Apparently they have a map for something."
