I've been running around on other planets and I keep seeing cool fish, but since they die in one hit, it's impossible to capture them. I propose an aquarium, or maybe just a fishing mechanic that allows people to catch and possibly domesticate fish they find throughout the universe.
I agree, there are a lot of really neat fish out there in the galaxy. It would be nice to have some kind of aquarium that was a background item that could be modified in different ways. You could use things like plant fibers from vines, flower petals, and cell materia to craft plant-life for decoration (and alternativly fish food as well). Or additionally you could use the different soils you find on your adventure to line the bottom of the tank. Add in some sort of recepie for the silly treasure-chest bubblers, and some colored lighting for accents and bam! Your own intergalactic seaworld! ... or just a relaxing fishtank.
As a real life aquarium hobbyist this would make my world that much better. However, I would also like to suggest different sizes for aquatic life, predatory aquatic life, or even specific bottom-dwellers when the ocean biome is re-released.
You can already find empty aquarium items in Apex housing units, so those may be implemented into this concept.
I didn't even think about adding more fish to the game, since it's already pretty diverse and cool. But now I want to see otherworldly crustaceans and echinoderms.
I don't know about Aquariums (sounds like a lot of work for our poor devs), but at least some use for all these diverse fish would be nice.
yeah, like I said, maybe just a fishbowl or even just a fishing mechanic, then we just make our own pools to store our fish in.
I would be satisfied with being able to transfer fish into ponds. Aquariums would have to be big to house a number of fish and then they might be in the way. Maybe Aquariums could be built into the background - nothing fancy, just wall panels that have water in them or can be filled with water.
That's what I was thinking. It'd suck to have to jump over and presumably swim through your aquarium just to get by it. Course, it could act like a forge or workbench. You can jump onto it or walk by it. whatever is the easiest to code for, imo.
