April Newspaper Delayed

I still don't understand why they can't just release it on Tuesday. It's only April Fool's for a day!

Dammit I want my Starbound news!!!

 

If the reason was because of April Fools, then they would release it on April 2nd. They are delaying it until next week, so the reason must be different.

 

Oooo, this is well interesting. I don't want to hype something or anything.. but if I had to have a guess it's going to be the roadmap - which would be awesome, possibly pre-order date. I would love to say they will announce when the beta will start but I still think we are alittle bit off that - maybe another month or two.

 

The reason being, that they forgot all about it. In other unrelated news, I took out some library books in December. Shit.

 

I agree with this. I also agree with the idea that it's probably the road map that Princess has been working on. So if both of these scenarios are correct, then it's probably because Princess isn't done with the road map and it'll probably be done by next week.

 

Man, I had no idea a Princess was on the team!

What is this roadmap? A roadmap of where the progress is on the game? Wouldn't that have release dates on it? I'm a dog/humanoid that feeds on release dates, FEED ME!

 

I'm pretty sure the newsletter itself it done, because Molly said on the irc the other day that she plans to send it out on the 31st. So I'm thinking they were going to accounce the roadmap, but it wasn't done in time for the deadline.

 

not likely to have release dates, it'll be a list of whats let to be done from now to release, maybe with estimated time frame for each item: e.g.

item 1:
-75% complete
-expected time to complete: 1 month

item 2:
-not yet started
-expected time to complete: 2 weeks

etc..

I'm guessing it will be along those lines (at least that's how I would do it.)

 

uh so the road map came out...and there was no news letter yet....meaning...that wasn't the big news O________________O

 

Hence it's not going to be the Road-Map there are a few possibilities. I've looked over the Road-Map and I'd say in a good week or two they could make it stable and add in most of the other major parts that need testing (though not the entirety of each feature, just things that need to be tested). I'd say they'd give you places to pre-order the game right then and the ability to play in the next few weeks.
However speculations are horrible and I'm just getting my hopes up. Starbound is going to be one hell of a game.

I too was wondering where my Starbound news was? How can my week start off right without my feverish wanting of the game stimulated properly?

 

The main page has been down for quite a while...I wonder why...

I think it was delayed to see if people would get the road map easter egg so they could either put a new hint in or hint towards the constellations. (By the way if you didn't know the easter egg was MasterApe)
