I thought now the date was pushed back AGAIN, to Q2? please don't tell me we have to wait until the last day of Q2 to play it :C need my starry starbound summer mannn

Nobody's pushed back any dates, we've been giving the estimate "2013" for awhile now.

 

...Maybe this is an april fools joke, and they're going to post the newsletter tomorrow?

 

I ment the gossip. The gossip aobut when its being release has been pushed back again. Now its Q2 (atleast to be able to play early access)

 

should know better than to listen to idle gossip

 

There was no specific release date, but you guys did estimate Q1 and missed it. Now the estimated release date is 2013, no worries, I've got plenty of patience.

 

OOORRR... their April fool's prank is making us think that we're getting a release date by avoiding an April 1st newsletter. That would be true trolling.

 

well yeah there is 1 thing i want to know about, just to be clear. tiy just said the "beta" will be released sometime 2013 but sometime before he said starbound will be released 2013 Oo
so what? just to be clear! does it mean the beta will be released in 2013 and its possible the final game could take longer so its just released in 2014, or does it mean the game will be released in 2013 and the beta may come earlier?

 

I am under the impression that if there is a beta, it will not remain in beta for very long and that the full game might come out really soon after (2-3 month). So both the beta and the full game could be in 2013, just one maybe in Q2 and the other one in Q3 or 4.
(I am getting this right yes? Q stand for quarter? I never was actually sure of that...)

 

Time to batten down the hatches Mr Hornblower. I smell tomfoolery a brewin' an I dont wanna be out in the Channel when it hits.

This probably does mean something important will be revealed. If they said it tomorrow everyone would think it's April Fools. Now, if it wasn't very interesting, it wouldn't matter.
