Apologies to the devs...

I would just like to apologize on behalf of the very diverse starbound community here for all the uninformed and flat out rude comments and threads lately. I am sure it is just a vocal minority and that most of us understand that this is a work in progress and we are very pleased with all your hard work.
To the rest of the community, please think a little bit before you post and maybe do a little research before you distract the very busy devs who are hard at work im sure to bring us the best game possible. If you are part of the majority of starbound players who are excited and patiently awaiting for the full release of the game, feel free to leave a like in show of your support!

Well i'm not sure what i49 means but you may be right. Hopefully people will chill out after the proper release

 

It was a small video game conference/convention where Starbound was shown off for the first time.

You do know that people complaining IS helpful, right? Whether they do it constructively or not it's useful information for the devs. Maybe you should apologise for being such a dense little tool instead.

 

Just like the same inconsiderate people I'm talking about. Where do you people come from?? Constructive feedback is good but there are a LOT of posts complaining that their char is gone or that 'Starbound is a Terraria ripoff!' etc.. and none of this is useful in the slightest. So why don't you spare the rest of civilization your worthless input next time, k?

 

Criticism is indeed good, but petty insults and personal attacks have no place here.

 

I called you a tool, you called me worthless. Looks like we're about even on the insults so far. So tell me, how are you any better than me?

For a start, he didn't call YOU worthless, he called your input worthless.

 

There are far more worthless posts complaining about people giving feedback / junk posting (but mainly complaining about the feedback rather than the junk posts) than actual junk posts (things like starbound is terrible!, just another copy of terraria!, this game is incomplete!, etc.)

 

Even if someone makes a sincere post, it usually turns into a shit-fest...

Welcome to the internet. Forums always trend downhill as they get more people just simply because there is a lager pool of whiners and trolls. Not that the percentage of whiners/trolls has changed just the overall number of them.
At any rate, the devs are more than capable of sorting though it all and not taking it too personally.

 

All we can do is post our positive feedback, and hope they notice how much those of us who were aware what Progenitor phase was going to be are enjoying the update.

 

I really think we are in severe need of more mods along with stricter rules.
