Apex Life Support Pod as a furniture/bed

So... i like the Apex Pods and would love to use them as a sleeping/healing station.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The only problem I see is how to adequately transition from outside to inside without making it look awkward.

 

Seeing as all other transitions for getting into furniture are instant, I see no reason why this one wouldn't be instant as well.

 

Omg yes this as a healing pod would be awesome!

 

It could be a new spawn point if you die after sleeping in one you respawn beside it like your a clone

 

this and baths. showers and baths. they should be able to restore hp as well because taking a bath is relaxing

I'd love this, there should be race specific beds that can reset your spawn point, you always spawn at them.

Human: Cloning Chamber
Apex: Life Support Pod
Avian: Nest (a bed sized nest with an egg in it)
Floran: Seed pod plant (The plant stalk that grows the pod that your Floran comes out of in the respawn animation)
Hylotl: Pond (containing tadpole eggs)
Glitch: Robotic Forge Chamber

If you didn't notice, these are all from the respawn animations, and it makes sense they could be used to set your spawn.

 

There already was a mod like that. Anyways, yeah, I'd love to see more advanced beds / "checkpoints" in dungeons that allow you to restore hp. That'd be cool to use and stuff!

 

They would only work if placed next to a "Towelbar" furniture item. After all, your character is dry when running around, yet these pods contain liquid. (Have a Floran inspect it, they say "Sssoup!")

 

Well your character is dry as soon as he leaves liquids such as puddles and lakes, too, so where's the problem?

 

I've been considering a mod in which these are made interactable. Perhaps you could clone NPC's with it or make custom mobs or anything else that would logically come out of an object like that.

 

The problem is that my poor attempt at satire didn't convey well, and my joke wasn't that funny. Unfortunate!

I don't think there would be any problem to having them be used as beds or spawn point items or anything like that, since they could quite understandably be used for those purposes. I just think it would be funny to have a "Towelbar" furniture/wall item implemented, since we already have showers and (i think?) bathtubs.

 

Definitely. You can't have space travel without towels!
