Anyone realise you can break the game in the very first second of play?

    I did it accidentally but the quest pops up to give you the mining laser thingy and I accidentally pressed abandon then there's no way to get it and you can't progress through quests. You can go down onto the planet surface but obviously without the tool you can't do anything. Just quite funny. :p

    You can still get the tool, just go to your shiplocker.

    The tool is located in your ship locker, even if you abandon the quest.

    Oh, I came here thinking the OP was going to be something along the lines of tossing your pc tower out a window or submitting it to the blunt-force trauma of a baseball bat. Kind of disappointed.

    In my past three games I ignored the quest entirely and beamed right down without the manipulator. Twice, I managed to get all that I needed on the planet itself thanks to chests and homes.
