Anyone have an guess on Beta?

I remember back in June it was supposed to come in August, he he...BUT, the road map looks like 70-90% complete on a lot of the major things, i think the Beta is just around the corner! What are your guesses?

 

I'm gonna guess people are tired of these guessin' threads, it's like thinking about when I'm gonna go eat at my favorite restaurant that's closed for remodeling.

 

I remember a developer once had a release estimate of: "It'll be ready, when its ready, and it ain't ready yet."

I always liked that...

 

My guess is early July. Sometime in the summer, anyway, I hope.

 

I remember when Happy's Pizza closed. They had the best pizza ever. I was soooo freakin sad man. They even had an entree I named! The Gut Buster. It was a pizza with buffalo chicken and bleu cheese, and had spinach and mushrooms in it and man the dough was so fresh, and awww man. You had to be there to enjoy it. Ill wait forever for a pizza like that. I miss pizza like that.

 

People always say around 1-2 months from now. Then, 1-2 months will pass, and they'll say the same thing.

Don't take any of the guesses on the forum seriously, they're only guesses.

 

Yeah, it'll be done when it's done, but I'm pretty hopeful that we'll get a trailer this month-y, maybe with a release date for beta.
Really hoping beta will come out before I go back to school so I can just focus on playing.

 

Starbound is that pizza.

 

In the stream, the Alpha client # was 00017 or something similar. Really killed my hope right then and there when I saw it.

Do not expect it soon.

I should point out the stream was the recent PvP one. You can see it in the top left when he enters debug mode.

 

Don't they play on an earlier version as to not spoil things? I heard that somewhere.

I would be willing to put every penny I have on Mid-Late June, followed by multiple phases, with a release in 2014.

 

Somewhere in the ballpark of the next three months, if I had money on it I would say August.

You stop one though you create a flood of others. As long as we can keep them constructive and on-topic it will keep people interested and from making more of them.
