Anyone else think that the Novakid kinda look like...

If you ask me the resemblance is uncanny.

 

Hmm. The biggest difference is that the Novakids are largely solid glowing shapes, whose only defining features are overall body shape, glow color, the shape of their corona 'hair' and the brand they have instead of a face.

The STTGL, however, is covered in what looks to be glowing 'bandages' or 'mummy wrappings' , with the interior of its body translucent or even outright transparent underneath them. Further, the STTGL actually has a 'face' - at least, enough of a face that it can wear glasses. The Novakids lack this feature.

I can see the gross resemblance, in that both are flourescent-glowing humanoids, but the details quickly ruin it.

 

^ Perhaps the details weren't included yet, and they will be in the future, haha. Either way, that's a pretty "bright" observation.

 

I can't say I see the similarities. Novakids have the cowboy theme going on for them while Tengentoppa...not so much

Novakids can't wear glasses?

The glasses are the only real facial feature of STTGL. Couldn't a Novakid just pop on a pair of glasses and have just as much of a face?

 

To me novakids look like Fallout Nuka Colas with legs and arms

 

Until the Novakids are released as playable, we have no way of knowing for certain. They don't, however, seem to have any facial features upon which to rest a pair of glasses, such as ears or a nose. What is known, however, is that the STTGL lacks a facial brand underneath the glasses.

By the way, good material for anyone who's curious about Novakids is the original suggestion that spawned them as a race.

Now, whether the glasses serve it as a brand, or whether to the STTGL is brandless and simply wears glasses is impossible to say with my limited knowledge of the source material.

 

I remember the creators of the nova kids saying on the forum that was one of their inspirations for the design.
