Anyone else impressed?!?

I have made it a habit to welcome all those who introduce themselves too the community, and I can say its become a full time job! I'm both excited and impressed on everyone who has supported and joined the community and the rate at which its happening is insane. Anyone else impressed at the rate of the growing community for those who have checked lately??

I don't really keep track of the growth, but I'd assume it's gone pretty well.
Especially as of late.

I remember the days when 95-110 people were on at peak hours. There's almost 600 on right now.
Preorder brought a lot of people to the forums.

 

Hah. I believe that. Most of it is probably folk--like me--who have been lurking since playstarbound.com came online and just wanted to flex their shiny new donor badges.
Cow was the first thing I saw in the forums. Not sure if that's a good thing or not

Honestly, I have to give Chucklefish this if nothing else (actually, I'd give them anything, but this is besides the point); this is the first game that I have actually decided to actively become part of the community in, rather than just sitting around with my peeps gaming, or gaming in my dark mancave. Mostly, I think, it's going to be to gush about what I've seen/heard thus far.

Yeah, seems like a lot of growth! I have been following this game for ages myself but decided to sign up to the forum because I want to be part of the community and find people to play with!

Plus I mean, Starbound is totally awesome. I'm super excited. Cow I love your totally non-biased pool

 

I was a lurker until they introduced the preorder and then I decided to be an active member of the community, so I suppose the same thing happened to all those new members and hopefully it won't stop anytime soon, the devs needs the money and all the support they can get.

 

I lurked until I made an account, then I jumped right over to the general discussion. Actually never posted in the intoduce yourself part of the forum- whoops.

In response to OP though, yes I am impressed. Mainly because there hasn't been that much PR around star bound in terms of advertising so I'm assuming this growth is simply from word of mouth. So yeah, I'm impressed.

 

Yes, I remember when Starbound managed to reach 5,000 members and now we're over 50,000

 

I am new but most happy to be here. I hope it keeps on growing.
