Anyone else excited for Aquatic Race?

Yea, they are so advanced that they use a laboratory to reproduce themselves with superior genetic material.

 

The aquatics are the race I'm currently most excited to learn more about. I love that they aren't "humanoid fill-in-the-blank." They look cool. If the information about their society turns out to be cool, I'll definitely be one as my first character. If something about them seems lame to me, I'll roll human instead.

I'm really hoping they'll be cool though.

 

Until real lore is released, this is my headcanon.

My first character is definitely going to be one of these guys.

 

I'll highly likely be one, hope they've got some awesome lore.

Also, I hope their lore comes before the robots.

 

The player would see normally, but the character being controlled would use sonar, a bit like bats.

 

"Meet the Adorabubbles" WHEEEEERE.

 

Im quite enthusiastic about it, I've often wanted there to be more water-based races in games. Sea can be a marvelous game-environment if you pay proper attention to it!

 

Then they'd be able to see in total darkness, y'know...

It'd make for nice aesthetics, though

Well deep sea fishes do need to sea in dark areas, soooo.....


EDIT: This could be totally wrong and I just lied to you, I guessed that fact.

 

Unless they have bio-luminescence, they don't "see." It's more feeling and gut.

Well, based on my extremely limited (and science's extremely limited) knowledge of undersea creatures, that's a hazardous guess at best...

 

Speaking of sonar...it would be awesome if underwater vehicles had sonar to help you see in really deep dark water.

 

It'd be like a sketchy picture? With all black-white stuff and echoes -- cool sound effects.
