Anyone else come across this problem?

Ever since a few updates ago, I've been having trouble finding copper to make armor. Iron seems to be alot more common. I often have more than enough iron to make full iron armor, but I can't find enough copper to make the copper armor. Copper used to be a bit too common, but now that I find more iron than copper, I think it really needs re-balancing.
I am not asking for mining tips or help. I just want to know your thoughts on this.

 

Hmmm maybe you're just unlucky? I've seen plenty of planets with copper ore (especially desert planets).

 

I've consistently had issues locating iron, so I think it's just the luck of the draw.

 

I can agree that it is RNG.. But I am usually on the side that finds Iron everywhere and only few small pockets of copper here and there... That is until I no longer need copper... Then I find copper EVERYWHERE..

 

So it's just me... I'm fairly sure it was nerfed quite a bit, though. On one character I had like 500 copper bars (before the wipe).

 

That basically sums up my Starbound characters.

 

Gotta be luck of the draw... I was in an asteroid cluster just the other day that must have been made up of at least 1/6 copper. It was danger level 4, and by this point I was doing nothing with copper but refining it.

 

This is exactly what happens to me.. When I no longer need it for crafting, I get overloaded with it quickly.. I build multiple Refineries to efficiently handle the large volume of bars.. Needless to say, I have 9 Stone Furnaces because of the massive payloads of ores I tend to come home with..

 

It's mostly a matter of luck and uneven distribution. I've started four new characters since the last update, and two of them have found way more copper than they needed on their starting planet, while the other two found shit-tons of iron but had to dig deep just to get a little bit of copper. My new Floran has found more silver than copper on his starting world.

 

I have only had 1 character, one brought over from the last update since the current one only wiped ships & worlds.

With that said I guess I am considered lucky since I find copper, iron, and everything in abundance. Then again I do a lot of surface mining and planet hopping. On the planet I started on, before the ship/world wipe, I actually found more than enough copper & iron before I left that planet. Had to change that planet from being home to another due to the change the recent update made. I guess I just have an eye for all ores maybe?! I don't know I just mine what I want or need and sometimes just collect just to have. 600+ iron ore & half that of copper is quite a bit over my travels from just a couple of stars worth of planets. I use copper constantly on my mining tool... hmm...
