Any place to store Pixels?

There needs to be a pixel bank on your ship.
You can upgrade the bank, which would be called "Pixel hard drive" with pixels.

after storing large amounts of decorative items and trying to convert them in the 3d printer, i can say pixel cost and 20% death is way to harsh atm,

i currently have im assuming 100k worth of decorative items to convert.
and then the price is about 200% higher to actually MAKE the items, if i wanted a house with cool looking doors thats 3'000 pixels per door!! i need to save up somehow :/

3000 isn't hard to get at all I've only just started playing recently and I've probably gained and lost/spent that 5 times over. (no not trying to make myself out to be badass player just pointing out 3000 isn't much.) and if you are worried about loosing it don't save up for everything you need buy each door separately etc.
Also I have not used the refinery to convert ores to pixels so I in theory have a much larger supply of pixels sitting around.

i was just using the door as an example. if i wanted a not to unrealistic 4 door house, thats 12'000 pixels.... thats without any other decoration.
if i wanted the pixels to build a new base id haveto save thousands, and if i die i would stand to loose way to much

and the counterpoint is you don't have to have all that on you, save for each item and buy it INDIVIDUALLY that way your not holding a billion pixels on you and loose less if you die.

Again though, this isn't a whole lot. In the little bit of time I spent bumbling about on my starting planet I've managed to collect over 2000 pixels in just a few short hours. Image how much you'll be earning when you actually get to the late game. 12,000 pixels may well be farmable in mere minutes at the late game.

And let's not ignore the fact that extra items you find are of a very high value which could be sold for a fair amount of money when that is added to the game. On just the one planet the total value of the collectibles I found was over 50k. If I can sell it for even a quarter of the listed value that is enough to cover the bill you state.

i think the value of the items indicates the cost to make them via the use of the 3D printer, not the value of selling them.
i have about 120k worth of golden ducks in one of my chests -.-

so thats not how much you would make, thats how much the stack would cost you if you made it. and i dont want to spend 'a few short hours' farming pixels to get enouph for a door to get one shot by a mob and loose 20% of it.

Hence why I said if you got at least a quarter of it for selling it.

I won't respond to the rest as I've already covered it in my last post.

If we aren't allowed to have pixel storage (no offense to people who are against storage), then either make it so you can recollect your lost pixels (longer than 30 seconds) or lower the death penalty to 1-10%. Another alternative I hope we can agree on is to add prefixes and suffixes to weapons, tools, and armor. Like in the old RPG days. (and Terraria) A prefix/suffix that makes enemies drop more pixels on death. (% based)

As someone else pointed out this is what refinery's are for. In essence you can 'store' pixels by mining ore you no longer need and converting it into pixels with the refinery.

It's too bad you can't reverse the process... I could really use some coal. (assuming you can convert coal into pixels)

It is an example, if you find it realistic or not is beside the point, isn't it? Also, how much time I spend on my character isn't really anyones concern but mine. And who's to say I wasn't saving up for something in the 1mil class? Who knows what the developers has in store for us in coming updates? Besides, I never argued against dropping pixles on death. I argued for a way to store your pixles, or when you drop them, have a way to recollect most of it to get you back in the saddle. You can't expect anyone to take you serious if you don't properly read a post before trying to argue with it.

Yes, and that is why you try harder and feel an incentive to do better and not fail. Losing money is just a matter or re-accumulating the lost amount. It's a matter of extra time you need to invest into something you already invested time into. Besides, I am all for a "Hardcore" mode where death is death. For the very reason I mentioned in the post.

And speaking of taking one another seriously, I find it ridiculous that you took two short segments of my text and whined over realism and what not, but completely disregarded the point of my post, my suggestions on how to amend this issue, and most importantly, you didn't offer any suggestion of your own, or arguments why your idea is better.

    Good day to you sir.

Not really, if u go on a huge adventure underground and accumulated about 3k pixels, you can still die and lose 20%.
If you actually make it back up alive ... I think its fair to store that amount of pixels.

    Rince repeat.

Whining.. Whining everywhere.. Its not hard at all, I just made a new character, beamed down on the planet. Walked left and found a dungeon. Looted it of some weapons and pwned the guys inside. After this I had over 4 k pixels! Within 10 min after creating a new character. Just make sure to have some bandage with you and you'll do juuuust fine. Dont try to make this game easier because you're to lazy to beam down and fight a few monsters to get the pixels you actually need..

usualy u have something to spend them on , there is no need to store them

This is my point. Your entire argument is moot because there is no word from the developers how it will be and the core game content is only about half done. Everything else you said was irrelevant given this. Your fantasy situation is just that hence why we need to keep any discussion ground in realism otherwise we are arguing just for the sake of it which just wastes board space for more relevant discussion.

I guess I'm to take this as an admission that there is no need for a way to store pixels?
