Any of you got Starbound regrets?

I have 2.
I deeply regret not knowing about Starbound earlier.
I regret not choosing a Floran as my first character.

 

I regret buying the game in the first place, I am bored with it despite the mods I'm using.

I am unhappy with the game and I am out 15$! I wish I could have a refund!

 

I regret all the time playing or chatting, I wasn't drawing and improving my art or singing. But I think that about everything.

 

Compromise. Draw designs that you can then build in Starbound while singing.

My regrets mostly involve permadeath characters and the phrase "I think I can take that in a fight".

 

I'm not brave enough to attempt permadeath. Also, I tend to just duck out of fights whenever I can.

 

I regret not gearing properly for high tier planets on my permadeath characters...
I will never make that mistake ever again.

Seriously though,I regret playing 300+ hours between Angry and Furious Koala...i knew everything i was doing was gonna be deleted,but i was having so much damn fun.Still..shoulda waited till i knew there would be no more character wipes.

 

I regret not taking that Avian up on her offer to take her to the stars with me...
And for not adequately protecting her and the other farming avian I lived with for a while... I could've sworn I saw one get carried off into a cave by some creature... then I chased after her.
I looked for so long, but I never found her.
I only heard her screams as she vanished into the black, menacing entrance to the cave, which I quickly jumped into despite my fears. I knew I may not return, but...
Sorry, I can't continue... I'm actually in tears...
The other was gone days later, disregarding me staying in her house to protect her after I swore I'd never let the same thing happen to her, but there was nothing I could do...
She insisted that she was fine, I argued with her for a while, but she wanted to be alone...
Only when I found her house empty the next day did I realise what a mistake I'd made.
I ran across the planet several times in multiple directions, I explored all caves I could find, but there was no trace of her.
Her farm was still there, though, which I swore to keep alive, if only as tribute to her memory.
It has become a sort of company in the galaxy, and the original farm is still alive and kicking, with the planet is marked a galactic resort, where people come to explore and see the farm that started it all, and most importantly pay tribute to the two Avians that never got to see it come to fruition...

 

I kind of regret playing in these early alphas. Although I have enjoyed playing these alphas as much as I did playing the minecraft alpha. This game has a solid enough base to (hopefully) keep me interested throughout all of the updates.

 

I regret :

Spending 250,000 pixels to build a base.
Spending several days and countless hours building my base
Spending around 100,000 pixels making people spawners so I wasnt lonely
Spending another 140,000 or so pixels on guard spawners to protect my people

Firing my gun by accident hurting one of my villagers and causing every damn guard to attack me.

I then regret having to kill all the guards just to be able to get back into my own blooming base and I really regret that I died twice and lost another 50,000 or so pixels....

 

I'm guessing this was meant as a joke or troll. But if you're actually serious, I can only say this:

 

I found planet that has really unique land forms. Like, the terrain generation is bugged out. I decided to make it my home planet. The gravity is super low there, though, and I prefer the quicker response of lower gravity planets :/

 

Especially not on those characters, right?

 

My only regret so far within the game was when I played for 3 hours straight, got a thousand of red stimpacks and, once back up in my ship, I realised that they were all replaced by dirt blocks. They were never seen again.
Also, I spawned a stimpack seller in my ship, and the next time I loaded the game, said guy was gone.

I think this game is sending me a message 'bout drugs, but I can't say for sure...

 

I regret playing so much so early into beta. I'm starting to feel a bit burned out so I might take a break. However if updates come as regularly as they claim I won't be going anywhere.

 

My worst Starbound regret is getting super hyped about the game, when it is nowhere near being finished and will likely have dozens of wipes between now and then. I hover around the forums a bit but have not played the game at all in months. I cannot invest time into something that wipes progress so often. I was well-aware what I was signing up for before I purchased the game and thought I could handle it. Alas, I cannot.

 

Actually, they shouldn't need to do any more character/ship wipes - that was the big change in the most recent patch. Tiy's latest post indicated that they'll likely do 1 or 2 more world wipes (but you should be able to backup your world).

 

My regret was I threw away 5 techs when I started playing because I had no idea what they were.
I also wore my armor in my vanity slots, so I died a lot.
My biggest regret was letting people on my ship in multiplayer.

 

My regret was thinking chucklefish would somehow be better than other devs. Turns out they're not, whoops.
