Any Kiwis? I Finally purchased

Hey all,

I've been a big fan of Terraria (over 150+ hours playtime), but when I found there would be no more updates, obviously I was a very sad gamer, even still I moved on to complete the game.

I'd have to say that is one of the most enjoyable games I've played, moreso than Minecraft w/wo mods (lets face it, vanilla Minecraft is just crap).

I finally got the galls to put down a pre-order for this game, I've been following it for a while and seems like a good candidate to call a successor to Terraria.

Another game I'm really looking forward too is Star Citizen, but thats aaagggeeesss away, and also looking forward to Stardew Valley (love farming games like harvest moon).

I'm 26 years old and have a full time job, Kiwi by birth, any other kiwis out there got their preorder done ?

Congratulations! I played Terraria too, and I'm still playing it after a long while of not playing it (consider it some form of preparation for Starbound, I suppose; they do seem vaguely similar).

I hope you have as much fun with Starbound as I do. With all the randomly generated and race-specific goodies I'm sure gameplay will be much longer than in Terraria~!

 

I think we all love terraria here lol but you ARE one of the lucky ones....i once approached a terraria forum and told them about starbound and they didn't even know what it was............then i gave them the info and i got....70+ people to buy the game lol

Yep, Kiwi is the nickname for New Zealanders. And yes, parts of LOTR & I think the hobbit were filmed here.

 

I remember seeing someone refer to themselves as "a sexy kiwi".

To those of us confused, Kiwi's are native to my country New Zealand, hence we get the nickname Kiwi.

Hello micheal! Kiwi PC gamer here (we live a hard life with hardware prices, don't we), welcome to the forums. I put a similar amount of time into Terraria as you, it's always nice to see this community grow, especially if the new members are people whose servers I won't lag on.
