Race Anthropomorphic Fox race

Honestly, I don't like it. It's just another one of those generic cat/dog/fox/lizard/pirate/squid races. Races need uniqueness, and we already have an anthropomorphic race, and that's the avians.

 

That'd be far superior to it being filled with 4chan troll scum like yourself.

 

I definitely like it, but it needs to be unique! It can't just be generic fox race. But you didn't present it very well (no offense), so it's getting a lot of bad votes. People want to see sprites and background info. If it's not part of the game on its own someday, then a fox race could be a mod, maybe.

 

This doesn't seem like a suggestion, it seems like a suggestion for a suggestion.
I suppose that it could work, but as mentioned above, as a race, it'd need to be fleshed out well beyond the race just being canine furries.

 

Well there already were couple of suggestions for suggestions for fox / wolf races.... maybe those could be merged?

 

Well to be fair I looks to me that the lack of info on the topic is because he's suggesting Starbound had a fox anthro race rather than the fox anthro race that he might have been concocting in his mind.
In any case, anyone already is suggesting a fox anthro race in this section, you might want to link it here for OP's to support

 

Yes I was going to do that at some point but I'm just submitting the idea for now....I don't have much spare time on my hands these past two weeks.

Anyways, erm, I really expectedthose are furries and not yiffing here to stay, that would disturb a whole lot of people and frankly pixely 2D platformer isn't the best place for yiffing...

Also, do by art you mean pixelart? Altrough just drawings would go fine too, think pixelart of how this would look ingame is the real thing you need since, well, everyone can imagine same drawing differently in pixel form.

Another suggestion: if you're really going to suggest a new race with lore, concepts and so on, make a new thread, this one is overfilled with discussion on wheter we really need more anthropomorphic races or not, not on race iotself since it's not really present.
I myself am REALLY sceptical fox race may get approved for Starbound, but you have all the chances of creating something so mindblowing everyone will want it added.

 

If a fox/wolf race gets implemented, loads of other people will be like "well why can't i be a badger? or a crab? etc." Okay sure, modders could probably do it, but the whole idea of starbound is playing and meeting alien life forms, not indigenous earth creatures that somehow evolved miraculously faster than every other species on the planet. and if i found a fox race on another planet id question the creativity of the developers...

 

Hell no. Not this. Not with a REALLY solid background and some sweet feature. Without this, a random furry race is just fan pandering, A.K.A. BAD.
I mean, we have robot knights, gas cowboys, birdy templars, veggie assassins... And you want to ruin all this awesomeness and cool creativity with a "memeish" race?
Why don't we directly introduce then the pony race and the Space Empire of Equestria and change Starbound into "Cheesy Star" then?

You're going to have to expect that on the internet.

 

I personally don't think this could work outside of modding. Adding a race like this would attract a lot of negative attention from trolls, and personally, I don't think it's very creative at this stage in time. Also, the OP could definitely use some work, cause as of right now it just sounds like "Hay guys, I think there should be a fox race", instead of telling us exactly why there should be a fox race.
Am I saying that this race could not fit in Starbound? No. Am I saying that the idea could use some work? Yes.

Or any sort of new or creative ideas, and you didn't have time to check the other furry race suggestions that have already been suggested and flamed.
