Hello, after finishing the community center on my first playthrough I just wanted to do something for my own use while waiting for more updates on the game. I figured someone else might want something like this so why not post it. I am so sorry.

First time attempt at sprite art or modding so I'm just learning as I go along sry.
Finished all marriage candidates. Gonna work on the other NPCs next

Tell me if you spot any stray pixels or something and I'll get around to fixing it thanks.

Download Pack
If you're using any mods that change the cursors.xnb file in the loosesprites folder or towninterior.xnb
This file WILL overwrite them as some characters have their sprites placed there.
Contains every done character here. This link will be updated everytime there's a new character finished.
Also contains Kozomomo's Anthro edits for other NPC sprites.

Manual Installation
1.) Extract Zip Files into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Content
Or wherever you content folder is if you have the GOG version.

2.) make a backup and just Overwrite the files.

I really want to know, you said these are your first attempts at modding(they look beyond phenomenal for a first attempt), but I would like to know if you are considering working on Player assets? with such great mods on the forums... I am starting to think the player will be by far, the least interesting to look at. Altho I guess the player is the hardest character to create assets for... all those movements

I'm really glad you guys are liking it so far! Most of those went through a whoole looot of revisions before I was happy enough to post them. Thankfully there are a lot of tutorials for everything on the internet.

Thanks! I really don't know at the moment, haha. The character sprites are my least favorite part of doing this mod. I'll think about it as soon as I'm "done" with this I guess!

 

Oh please, by all means do take your time! even if you eventually decide to never do it, never feel forced to do something outside of your own scope! I am just worried nobody will bother with the playable character lol, but I understand it is quite a task!

Btw, I think I will learn to how sprite and stuff, I cant stand any of the options for the farmer character x_x just got stardew valley but the customization is driving me over the edge!

But while I learn, I need to ask, think the farmer hairstyle xnb files could be modified, lets say one of the options in hairstyle, to use one of the assets in your anthro mod? I just saw them in-game and omg they are amazing! but what if we could use one of those setfiles to "play as one of the anthro characters" instead? in terms of hairstyle that is. Sorry its really late at night and im not sure im typing anything intelligible >w<

 

They are looking fantastic, I really cant wait to see them all done (I will have to rethink with who I marry then, cause all of them are so cute now)
Also, a tiny thing... I am not 100% sure, but I think that on the walking animation of Sam, to the left, there is a... Floating pixel or something? I will keep checking on it, but I thought it was worth to notify

I don't really mind if the player character remains "boring" reminds me of animal crossing.

Ahaha thanks. I do like to draw so I just had to apply what I know plus some tutorials. You should see my earliest attempts at spriting these portraits I almost gave up. I couldn't even understand how to work with xnb_node thing even with the tutorial until my bf read it and explained it slooooowlyyy to me.

 

She is so really cute ! I like her in the game already, but... She looks more cute and inocent the way you did. Impressive work again

Btw, a lil question... Do you plan on edit ALL the characters in the game? I mean, also the TV channels ones and so?
