I saw this forum is active and has good content, so I decided to join. I'm an Avian in SB. Love fluffy stuff! Game is simply amazing. What race do you play and why?
Welcome to the starbound community. I mostly play my floran. When i started with starbound i wanted to name my char "Flora" and then i saw the floran race. So i thought "a floran called Flora" ^.^ Then i also have a Novakid named "Akuma" and an Avian named "Raijin". Akuma stands for devilish fire demon. Raijin stands for storm god of thunder and lightning.
I mostly play as a Floran, firstly for the aesthetics, but mostly to just to soround him with tons of tech he doesn't understand, just got giggles First guy I had was named SliceKiller, wich was unfortunately deleted when the wipes hapened.Made some preety cool stuf with him: Beautiful, lil creature, wouldn't you agree? But anyways, elcome to the comunity!

My Floran, Palmfrond, loves fluffy things! He visited a pet store and skninned all the poodles mahahahhaa! Erm, eh, welcome?
Welcome! Well, my first character was actually a Floran named Thorntip, because who doesn't like stabbing stuff? I also played a Hylotl, Silkfin, for a while, because condescending Asian fish are really fun to play as. Especially when they're cowards who are forced to fight to defend themselves... Apex are cool, too. Mine is named Deerith, and she's a scientist and spy who got busted and had to leave. I also play a human, my other main character, named Kade Ingensson... I don't prefer humans as much. But mostly I just love robots, the medieval era, and (mostly) adventurer-librarians, and that is why I have Varc Audial. My favorite characters aren't chosen because of their culture, but rather their own personality, which is why it's hard to say why each race appeals to me.

Allo', welcome to the community! Hope you enjoy your time here! Me? I usually roll with Novakid. I think they're really funny peopl- er, cosmic star people! I like the whole wild west thingy they got rolling, and I love the ship (although its length is rather annoying at times)! I have 2 characters since last Nightly wipe, both are Novakids. One of them is named Whimsy ( She spells it with a z sometimes to make it look cool ;u; ), because of her tendency to do things on a whim. Her train of thought is sporadic, and tends to beat around the bush when giving answers, getting easily sidetracked. Hah. The other's named Levi Hewitt, and he's your average antisocial loner-type, as he works best by himself. He's impatient, quick to anger, and doesn't pay attention to other's emotions. The works. I just really like Novakid. Although my first character was an Avian named Hawking. C:

I like to see why people chose their race, it's really neat because everyone has a different reason - my avatar is just like my character (blue Avian). She's a nervous birdy and scared of everything, especially the creatures roaming out during the night, so she typically stays in. She loves being cozy and she's a bit of a loner, waiting for the right one to stroll by and sweep her off her talons. She wants to lay an egg and cuddle it someday! xD
Hmm. I wanted make my character... Well, a character. Make some backstory for him, think of personality... But I'll probably end up with a character that resembles myself. And I would not feel comfortable with that.
