It turns out that farmhands can not get the final house upgrade. That is a problem because the first house and the final one are the only ones that are stable as far as the wallpaper/flooring go. Any other stage has the disapearing/resetting wallpaper/flooring bug. Which means that, since farmhands can't get the final one, they are forever stuck with the bug unless they keep the first stage and never go any farther with their house. Which gives them a choice of stable wall/floor and no spouse/kids or unstable wall/floor and having a spouse/kids. Neither is an acceptable choice. I really hope they fix the wall/floor issue really soon! I'd actually be fine with not getting the final upgrade to the farmhand house as long as the walls/floors stay put.
