Another Chucklefish Title?

This, so fucking this.

Seriously, don't spaz out guys. They'll complete Starbound in due time.

 

How many times a week does this get said in each and every thread? Patience my dear starbounders.

1. They really should be focusing on Starbound's release rather than a second title.

2. I highly doubt it comes out later this year.

 

They ARE focusing on starbound's release. But they have people whom have completed their part of the project, and these people can thus work on the next project now instead of sitting around idling.

Chucklefish is a company. A company needs to make money and pay its employees. In order to justify paying its employees, the employees need to work. In order for the employees to work, they need to be given a new project once their part on the old one is finished. This also puts less of a delay between the releases of projects, helping the company have a more stable source of revenue.

 

I think they may have sectioned out their dev team a bit, considering Starbound is almost coming to final-release stages.

 

I wouldn't worry about this slowing down development, guys.

There have been times when I wanted one of those. However, I have come to the conclusion, after considering the possible popularity wars and implementation problems that could result in having negative likes, that it's better, for the sake of civility, to have nothing between "Like" and "Report".

I would look at this news VERY positively. If they can devote the effort to develop another game, then they must be (figuratively speaking) packing the Starbound floppy disks into their cases.

tbh, not really. we have virtually no news of this new game. for all we know it's just a design document being made.

Could also be the team helping people work out a publishing deal, similar to Wanderlust: Rebirth, in order to bring in more revenue.

 

Well Chucklefish is going to be HUGE when Starbound comes out so I'm not surprised.
