Angry Koala Out...

I just tried to log in and got an error saying my mod was out of date with Angry Koala? Is it out already???

Interesting, my loader still shows the notes for offended, but the game window shows angry. Also My characters are still there and wearing / carrying everything they had but my ship has been wiped clean, lost all the chests and machines I had in it, as well as the fuel in ship. Logging in my chars get the 1st mission as competed too.

Is this how it should be now or is this some but for my characters ?

 

I have the same issue. On my pre-existing chars, everything except what I have equipped has been wiped. I guess this is how the developers tell you to make a new char?

 

wow what a shitty update, not olny did it wipe my whole ship clean, but the one thing i wanted "ship upgrades" isnt even in it AND
every song you play crashes the game

lmao, so...for me it says annoyed koala, both in launcher and in-game, but i lose everything on my ship and planet, do i have the update or no?

Just stand by, the devs need to update the loaders website with the new info, the patch JUST came out 10 minutes ago.

You should probably stop playing the beta until it's updated further if you're going to be so bothered by character wipes. It's a pre-release video game; it's chock-full of bugs, and it's got like a third of the content planned for it. If you think keeping your save intact is more valuable than completing the game, I strongly advise you wait a few more months before playing the game again.

Just sayin'.

 

If you people are going to get pissed about losing your ship and or characters then get out of the first stage of beta. Because this will happen quite a bit whether you like it or not. be happy you didn't lose your character in this update, all you have to do is kill off the first boss for a metal working station and then go to whatever sector you want and start gathering again. It's really simple stuff.

its more of the wipeing everything on ships for no reason
i can see the worlds becouse they added new ones and weather

Wish I would have known that everything on my ship was gonna go bye bye, I would have like 100k pixels right now if I converted all my ore, LOL

 

It's harder to control character. Not sure if i'm a fan of that.

Think of it like this: "The Starbound beta doesn't come out until February." Uninstall the game, go about your life, and be disappointed that the game isn't out 'till February. Then, when February rolls around, install the game brand-new, and revel in all the features and stability and long-lived saves and progress. Trust me when I say they aren't going to stop doing this-- there's bound to be another full wipe within the next few weeks. It's just going to be more disappointment until later. Do yourself a favor.

 

Nothing gets wiped "for the hell of it". There is a reason for it.
