(Apologies if this should be in suggestions, but it seemed like it was more for discussion than suggestion and as such I put it here)

So, this picture was pretty recently uploaded on Tiy's twitter:

Now, while it looked at first like a fine improvement, there is a pretty big flaw in the system shown so far, which would allow one to go infinitely around space without any fuel and with access to their home planet:

    1. Park your ship in orbit around the planet you want to make your bases, farms, etc. on. Keep it there forever.
    2. Whenever you want to explore, set the planet you're heading to as your new home planet.
    3. Teleport to that planet for free. Rinse and repeat.
    4. If you want to revisit your actual home (With your bases and such), beam up to your ship and back down onto the planet it's orbiting, which would be your home planet.

In my opinion, this issue could be remedied by using a more stargate-style approach, requiring you to physically visit the location you place both stargates before traveling. This would also allow things like planet hubs on servers that would let you make multi-planet cities and help people visit each other on private servers. In the beginning, they would probably be too big to fit on a ship, but eventually maybe you could sacrifice storage space on one of the larger ones for a big stargate to your home planet.

...Anyways, didn't mean to go on a tangent about my ideas there. Feel free to discuss the issue and what you think would be the easiest way to solve it.

Be sure people can only set home planet to the planet they are currently orbiting. Problem solved.

in the latest patch it states that you must be in orbit of the planet to set it as home planet. :p
