Playing online in different servers made me realize what kind of people there are out there. I'm mostly referring to ones that add you to a party, go to your ship, steal your stuff, and then leave.

By the way, this isn't a personal complaint at all. Yes, someone tried it on me, but I knew at the time that I didn't have anything important on my ship, so I wanted to test and see what this gentleman was up to. Let's just say, he disappointed me. BUT, from that day on i felt that a "redesign" of my ship was in order. I present to you, for all the online starbounders out there, the Troll Ship:

Have you guys had any experiences like these? What's your worst/funniest one?

    HAHAHAHA I approve of that!
I havnt gone on to any multi player servers, only play with my friend
I would suggest writing the word no in the storage though, if you use a 4x5 N and a 3x5 O you should have just enough space for it
but I would totally do that! I might even do that anyways, after emptying my ship out of trash (recently moved home planets)

Oh snaaaap that's a good idea! I actually have some different coloured dirt to pull that off too :p
And yes, when people are spamming you with party invites it can get annoying. But now? Tooooootally worth it haha

LoL! do you use Targeted Blink to get to the pilots chair? id hate to think you have to dig yourself through that everytime you want to travel.
    Good job though!
    I approve!

haha thank-you :p and what I did was instead of placing block with the left-mouse button, I used the right-mouse button which puts them behind the character. This allows you to walk infront of it. Imagine using Targeted Blink to get to the front of the ship, that would be nuts haha

You should have filled it with the slime blocks from the sewer just to make even more of a point, or even crappy Alpha planet weapons that do 1 damage. But very well done that made me laugh.

What if they use the rocket launcher that shoots drills? That can do some serious damage pretty fast.

why is there no simple mechanic to allow people accessing the ship but not beeing able to interact with anything?

well yeha but I think this is a easy to implement and heavy distressign feature. It should already be there.

Because the game isn't finished yet and taking stuff from someone else is just silly. If you've gotten enough "things" to store on your ship that you absolutely must keep, you know how you got them, maybe even where you got them, and how easy it is to get them again if you need to. Or just how easy it is to replace them. The thieving from other people on multiplayer servers is clearly much more griefing than just lazy.

Oh yes I got it randomly from a random planet, in worst case gettign these 2items back" will take serveral hours or days, epending on how lucky randomness is. And internet these days is full of silly people, and this can be prevented by a simple mechanic, so why no doing it as one of the first things? it would make griefing 100% impossible and a big "butthole" problem would be solved.

No disrespect, I just don't have a lot of faith in keeping any of the things I have acquired because I still think the only thing safe from a future wipe is the techs, blueprints, maybe codex, and scanned items for the 3d printer. Objects, whether I'm stashing them on a planet, in my ship, in my inventory, or even on my toon's body will just disappear one day before the game is officially released. The patch notes on the launcher say "no more character wipes, hopefully no more world/universe wipes." The word "hopefully" just doesn't let me get too attached to my "things".

That's not to say I wouldn't be upset if I went to someone's server to play nice and they didn't, and took some of the "things" that I have tried not to grow attached to.
Because I have grown attached to some things. I guess if I did go to someone else's server that I was unfamiliar with, I'd probably only do it as a new character. If they want to help me build another character for several hours only to rob me later, well, they're just messed up then.

Well it seemed I made the silly mistake of letting a hooligan aboard my ship upon realizing the tyrant was opening my chests (after a big mining trip) I hasten to add i encased him in dirt.
