I've noticed that whenever there is a holiday even in the town, you can't get to the Beach without using a totem, which is annoying. It would be nice if there was some other path that you can take that is at the area below your farm, in the area where Marnie's Ranch is.
tbh I didn't even think to use the totems but you're right. There's also an area south of cindersnap forest next to the sewers where the trash is that you never seem to get to.
There could be a way to 'sacrifice' totems to each of the teleport shrines to unlock them, so once unlocked you can use each of them to teleport to the other sunlocked without a totem. The totems would still be needed to teleport to the shrines without using a shrine, but no longer from shrine to shrine once they are all unlocked.

I'm gonna necro this thread, definitely should happen! Whether the new path is from the forest or elsewhere, beach is too far away as is.
An easy fix would be to add another minecart location. Getting there from the bus stop would be really convenient.
This seems like a pretty good option too. Maybe it pops out on the tidal pool (next to where the wizard 'hides' during the Moonlight Jellies), so you have to repair that bridge, before you can use it. If not, then maybe just behind Elliot's place.
