    LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN (Because I couldn't read contest rules P: )

The name for them is tentative, since I'm not quite good at naming things.

    APPEARANCE:
This is a little sketch I made for a scaly cutesy amphibious race. They have obvious gills on their sides, and no arms whatsoever. Their eyes are large and normally yellow, which helps them in the darkness of deep ocean. Their feet are 'normal' as far as feet would go- scaly, of course.

    BEHAVIOR:
I can't really write these well in paragraph format, so here's a list.
    • Acts passive unless attacked, or nearby Native is attacked.
    • Semi-Intelligent
    • Amphibious, of course.
    • When provoked, their heads wrench open to reveal a toothy maw that they'll bite the player with.
    • While they are passive, can be given foodstuffs to bribe them to do things. (Dropping ham on a lever will make them pull it, dropping ham at your feet makes them follow you around.)
    • When two or more are following the player, they skip and sing. Frolick.
    • If given a sufficient amount of food while following the player, will defend the player.
    • Lives, spawns on the surface, but may occasionally wander underground.
That's... it, as far as I can think.

    Deus and Miklosher like this.

The sketch reminds me of The Binding of isaac for some reason, nice.

  3. GigaNova

    GigaNova Cosmic Narwhal

Looks cool, where would you find these and do they live on the surface or underneath it?

I'd say they live on the surface, yes. Land and sea. I'll add that to the OP post, thank you.

This is a winner for me, simple, superb and AWESOME. The simplicity in this design is just mind blowing. :3
