Nobody knows quite where the Archangels come from. The most popular theory is that they are from an alternate dimension, but others insist they are simply a highly evolved form of life. Regardless of their origins, they are here, and they are not to be trifled with. -=BIOLOGY=- Archangels appear as faceless, emaciated humanoids with glowing yellow lines across their bodies, and three long fingers on each hand, who are covered in metallic armor plating. This "armor" is actually part of their bodies, and can easily be compared to an exoskeleton. The "armor" is -however- actually made of metal. The type of metal that composes this armor is still unidentified, and has not been encountered anywhere else in the galaxy. -=POWERS=- Archangels posses amazing mental powers, including telekinesis, electrokinesis (as seen above), pyrokinesis, telekinetic relocation (teleporting), and various other abilities. Some can even influence the minds of others, and a rare few can even change their appearance, and become invisible. Powers and their strengths seem to vary from individual to individual, but due to the nature of these beings, a proper study of their abilities has yet to be conducted. -=INTERACTION WITH HUMANS=- For as long as humans have existed, Archangels have been there, interacting with them and shaping their development. In ancient times, the archangels ruled over different areas of humanity as gods, forming their own pantheons to rule their groups of humans as they saw fit. There were dozens of these groups around the globe, but the three most powerful were the Greek, Norse and Egyptian pantheons. About 2,000 years ago, the three pantheons began arguing, and eventually waring with each other. While the pantheons were in chaos, an archangel of significant power was able to step in and bring all three to their knees. This archangel established a new pantheon of his own, and commanded that humans bow to him and him alone, lowering the former-gods he defeated to mere servants. This new pantheon gave rise to most modern religions on earth. When humans began developing more advanced technology, the archangels decided it was time to leave before humans got out of their control. Some decided to stay and observe humans from a distance, others decided to look for new planets to influence. Archangels are nearly immortal, though, so when exploring new planets, you might just run in to an old deity of yours... -DISCLAIMER: I am agnostic, and do not value one religion over another. They fight using the various powers I described above. The idea was that each one you encounter will have semi-randomized abilities, and thus be trickier to battle. As for what they do if you open fire on them, they try to kill you. Violently. And they probably succeed.
