Ammunition, a nice addition.

    First off I used the search function and I didnt really found a thread which just evolves around the term to bring ammunition back to the game, and in my special case, only to gunpowder weapons.

    Frankly I like the idea to craft my own ammunition and switch ammo types for different situations, explosives for corwds, high velocity for distance shots (seriously bullet travel time on sniperrifles is a joke), thermal for florans, etc.

    Now I do know that the devs stated that they actually want to keep the current energy based system and thats totaly fine, but then again I have to ask, what exactly would be the difference between gunpowder and energy based (laser, plasma, whatsoever)?

    I'd say lets keep the current energy depleting system for energy weapons and let us craft ammo for gunpowder weapons.
    Simply unlock the very basic ammo type at an anvil (or an extra crafting tool, guess that would be even better) after you obtained your very first gun (like its currently the case with certain block recepies) and simply inject blueprints of all other ammunition types into chests and/or vendor inventorys.

    I think it would really add to the games atmosphere, and those who like the energybased system simply stick with the engerybased weapons.
