Ammo overhaul (MMN) [Deleted]

    Thanks wurm, don't need it anymore, but atleast it's there for those who might need it and have mods that don't merge that they can't get rid of. medical beds was just a novelty addition for speed healing at the base anyway. :) but damn, that was quick, you probably got the message as soon as I posted it to get it out that fast. :rofl:

    I love this mod so much. It makes it FUN to kill lvl 10 enemies and it makes it feel like the guns should've been like that!

    Can you buff the Sniper Rifle Ammo a bit? Its kinda weak compared to Assault Rifle. 3-4k for Tier 10.

    How do you make the ammo? or what kind of stuff can you use to combine the gun so it has ammo in it?

    you can craft the ammo at the new gun crafting bench, witch should show up in the anvil crafting list.
    to make guns you'll need the gun assembly, a frame, gun parts and a ammo type that fits the weapon type.

    for example to make a tier 10 modern crossbow with living bolts it's:
    combine the modern crossbow frame with impervium gun parts, this gives a empty modern impervium crossbow.
    combine the empty modern impervium crossbow with living bolts and you get the weapon.

    not sure about sniper, bows and crossbow dmg yet @ redking, i'll need some time to think about how to balance them.

    I think there may be a bug where whenever I enter a village my game crashes. I am unsure if it is this mod which is causing it, but I haven't had the problem previously, and you said there was something wrong with gun traders. Either that, or it's the hundred bazillion other mods I have on at the moment.

    the current error with gun traders is that their inventory doesn't properly update with changes to their files.
    you can add new items easily enough, but if even if you remove the old category's they used they'll keep selling them. And i removed my npc merchant changes a few updates ago since crafting made it largely obsolete.

    btw did you get a error in your log? that might point out what's causing it.


    and on a less related note, i'm waiting for the supposed valentine patch.
    It apparently changes projectiles a bit, and adds new guns. hopefully it won't ruin this mod to much...

    In Enraged Koala version, I got an error and crush about this mod.
    Of course I know it made on Furious Koala but this crush seems caused by other reason, maybe related with "marioball".
    (I changed version data in modinfo file to run a game.)

    Thank you for create great mod, and I hope release new version of mod optimized to Enraged Koala.

    @Wurmheart I ran into that problem too. The "marioball" call is in /MMNgun/projectiles/guns/plasmabullets/plasmaorb.projectile and bouncingplasma.projectile

    You can change the "physics" variable from "marioball" to something else as a workaround. I went with "hover".

    hm, it just changed name to fireball.
    changed that to the files and changed name version, trying to load old characters just gives a error for me atm.

    uploaded it anyway, maybe it'll work for some.
    Edit:

    seems removing the mod does not even solve the issue for old characters, which seems to imply it's not tied to any of my items? i have no idea how to even think of fixing this...

    I'll try it out with a new character. My old one is crashing for who knows what reason.

    I was getting the same "marioball" error log, but I downloaded your fixed version and now I can run the game and load my character no problem.

    Thanks Matterialize,

    it seems there was a error caused by modded tech's, in my case minidozer that causes a access violation error.
    still gonna try and see if everything works as it should first, still haven't been able to notice more projectile changes. (outside of a possible shotgun delay problem that was reported)

    at first i thought this was a bit OP but then i realized it's actually not, i was just used to only using a sword because the vanilla guns sucked. guns are SUPPOSED the be better than swords.

    good job on the mod, i'll be using it.
