Hey. The one thing that I find really, really painful in Starbound is dealing with stairs, and platforms over vertical shafts. Maybe it's just me, but I'm super-used to just hitting "s" (aka the "down" key) to jump down through a platform from ... honestly, from just about everything. It's pretty much standard is most of the platform-ish games I have played in the past, and play now. Starbounds "down and jump, and keep going down until down is released" mechanic is honestly harder -- for me -- than most of the monsters in the game. It definitely does more damage to be because I can't seem to get my head around the fact that I have to let go of the "down" button there. I'd /love/ to be able to set a keybinding for that; I checked the custom keybinding thread here, and the modding info, but unfortunately I don't seem to figure out how to trigger that behaviour -- or, perhaps, it's hard-coded in the engine that PlayerDown + PlayerJump trigger this? In any case, offering a binding that would jump down through the current platform (and, ideally, a way to configure a small delay on each platform rather than constant falling until the key is released) would be great, even if it was only available through modding the game. That'd let me build the interaction I want.
