Alpha Question: Who actually has it?

To be fair, I don't know that its valid for anyone to safely assume that this is correct or incorrect. A skeptic would believe that you would say something like this to throw off some of the other folks. I.E. say one thing, mean the opposite to cover it up. *cough*. Others can choose to believe this is correct. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter who has it because we have no proof, listings, ip adresses, or anything to check to see who has it. Case closed I guess.

 

Seems like they say a lot of things. I'm not one to judge though. I invested my 15 dollars wisely I'd say. Besides, I don't care who has the alpha and who does not. But I am sorry to hear of your misfortune my friend.

 

Sounds a bit paranoid Especially when you think that a contributor may have a little bit more information on the topic, than any other of us.

 

i'c that explains a lot. i would not want to release an unfinished game if that had happened to me and why thay appear to be so batephobic.

Vague answers work. The only reason I can see it being need-to-know is if we have some mentally unstable people willing to murder over an alpha.

Does it really matter? We don't and most likely won't.

The build used at i49 was made for the show, updated there and people will have worked on it since, making the fabled, i49 Alpha Build, non existent by this stage.

I am so sad, i found out my friend had the alpha, and i never even know it was possible to get it. He bought starbound probably a few days ago, and he's already playing an alpha, and i pre-ordered it ages ago and i didn't get it. Is it because he spent over 50$? Anyway, i guess it's really very glitchy anyways, so i don't really care anymore.

 

That really is not the case lol, either your friend wants you to think he has Alpha access or you are just making things up. My good friend who bought the 80 something dollars pack does not have any Aplha access what so ever, I am 10 million % sure.
And the question was already answered, close firends, family and contributors have the Alpha access, nobody else. If they would be giving out Alpha access for more than 50 dollar "donations", there would be leaked versions on the internet everywhere at this point.

not to be rude but... even then i still would never trust my family having a alpha copy of a game in development... some of them are... how you say? not good with computers? and always get viruses? but that's just my family
