Allow walking through coop animals inside the coop.

When you're outside the coop you can walk through your chickens/dinos/ducks/rabbits but when you're inside you cannot. There is a very common occurance that happens to me due to this when I'm making all my coop animals happy and it is extremely frustrating. It can waste several game day hours of my character just standing there waiting when I want to get things done.

This happens when multiple animals decide to cluster at the entrance of my coup. Sometimes 1 animal decides to just rest and while you can move towards them and they move away from you... Corners are a snag point with no way to get past them other than wait, With the cramped size of the coop having 12 animals in there means its likely for them to cluster near the entrance while you pick up eggs.

    EG. [ ] = Represents 1 square. [A] = An animal.
    [ ][ ][ You]
    [A][ ][ ]
    [A][A][ ]
    [Exit][ ][ ]

The above case is bad because the bottom left A has no where to go, It has to wait for one of the other A's to move 1-2 squares away. This becomes exponentially worse if 4-5 Animals cluster in the corner which is entirely possible.

Allowing us to "step over" the animals like we can outside while inside the coop would prevent this from happening completely.

This has not been an issue in the barn due to the space the animals have.

I think that's immersion braking, being able to walk threw animals, there's a mechanic there so you can push past them, but most of the time you can push them and they will move in that direction.

Which simply aids in the above scenario happening. You can walk through them outside and it does not break immersion, what breaks immersion is standing there for 5+ minutes because the animals are clogged in the corner. Being able to step over a bunny/chicken/duck/lizard, Thats just realistic.

Then maybe a step animation, but i can't walk thew them outside, at least you can't with chickens, i only have then atm.

You do walk through them, You walk through all of the animals when outside instead of getting stuck, It pauses for a second then you pass the animal with no special animation. If all your animals are clogged in at your gate, You can still get through. You're not left waiting for the animals to decide to move. Opening my coop before I check the inside of the coop *could* help in the getting stuck area but it creates another issue, Then I have to chase them all through a rather big wandering area while their moving around and it becomes difficult to actually make them happy.

The routine I've developed is the fastest way for me to make all my coop animals happy and get the eggs processed if the animals do not cluster at the corner which they tend to do fairly often.

I'm like... Okay I want to get some iridium I gotta get my animals dealt with quickly before I leave the farm so I know its done. I've paid attention to the TV and its a lucky day... Until a chicken blocks my way when I went to leave my coop at 9am but did not actually get to leave until 1PM. RIP going to the skull cavern and trying to get anywhere because I lost 4 game hours and I'm now leaving super late when I worked efficiently to in/get out fast.

I'm considering getting rid of my most of coop animals until I can get iridium because they are preventing my progress. But what happens when I eventually need more iridium but I've spent hours building up hearts with more coop animals...? Remove progress to gain other progress then start that progress over again? Really not ideal.

Ahh i gotcha now, yeah i only have 4 :D

There is a mod that you can employ someone to attend to your barn animals, if you are open to that. I don't think it's game breaking or un immersive as you can do that in real life. What would be is if you miraculously did it with one click of the button and it was done, least it's someone you have employed, so to me in't not un immersive or anything. Another mod that was released today is a 24hr cycle. there have been people that have gone 6 game days without sleeping. I don't see that as un immersive either as you can do that. Game breaking maybe. But you can at least get lots done but then it's up to you have much you take advantage of that mechanic.

Would maybe be better if we could just pick them up and move them. At least the smaller animals like chickens, ducks and rabbits.

You can walk past them, just like walking past other villagers - it takes time.

I would like an additional key to push/hug them - sometimes they block me form harvesting a crop.

The Bell in HM series is a good idea to implement.
