Allow us to deposite Pixels

    So kinda annoying how we cannot store out pixels , and yet we are running around with so much and just that one time you die and you lose quite alot , il admit im a scavenger and sell anything that is of no use to me or dont need

    so i like storing my money to keep building up what little i have

    Please allow us to store our pixels

    That would remove the purpose of the death penalty. I know it sucks to lose pixels when you die. But you're supposed to lose something when you die. Dying means you screwed up!

    Your suggestion is like saying "I don't like it when I die, please remove HP so I don't die". This is a game! Part of a game is bad things happen!

    how is this suggestion anything like "please remove HP" , i think we all know what this game is about and we knew we would die alot , i dont think you understand this is not about dieing alot , everyone can take dieing no problem cause its nothing really you dont lose any of your stuff etc etc , its the fact that pixels are quite hard to gain earlie game and i would imagine its going to get much much harder late game

    also there is nothing wrong with added storage to pixels , terraria done it and you still lose gold / plat in that without even realizing , but this game has no way to farm so gaining pixels is quite hard unless you can find a merchant most of the time exploring

    so long as they make a storage on your ship or make a separate storage for 6 slots of pixals each stack lets say 1k pixals . then thats a good enough reserves

    also its not like the game will essentially be broken , all tho its harder than terraria , and you can easily farm in terraia , in this game you cannot farm for credits at least by my experience and its so easy to lose your pixels no problem

    i can take death with no such problem infact i may laugh depending on how it is , but seems like it will take a long time to save enough pixels for something

    Dying deep in a cave and being ported to your ship is penalty enough IMO. A bank to store Pixels would be good, just make it so we lose a percentage of Pixels on hand.

    it drops either 20-30% of your pixels on death , that will allow us to hopefully go and pick them up again , so long as your in the same session just like terraria

    its really no fun losing pixels when you've spent a LONG time getting this , this idea could hopefully be useful for future planned updates that will effect some things and would require big time investments

    I wouldn't mind some kind of way to store Pixels, but it should be restricted to some kind of expansion on your ship that you cannot get right away and that you cannot use while on a planet. That way it prevents you from just carrying an item with you and dropping it outside of a dangerous area for quick storage.

    Possibly later in the game you could get some kind of passive tech that transports 10% of all pixels gained directly to that storage system.

    As much as I would love to store pixels i can see the logic in Kahryl's objection. It would defeat the purpose of death penalties and basically make death a free heal.

    I want storage as much as the next guy but we have to make it a system where it still punishes the player on death.

    I think the best way around if they added a bank is to make it where if you die you drop ALL of your carried pixels. This way it gives you the incentive to go back and stash everything away periodically before you step into danger. Though if they added this, they really need to increase the item despawn time so you can run back to where you died and possibly regain what you lost.

    why do yous keep going on about the death penitently when , this wont even affect it that much

    most of your work will be down in caves and or doing bosses , and with them going to add that you cannot warp in caves , i really dont see how this defeats the purpose of the death penalty , people will still lose pixels its just a matter if you want to keep on for the grind to get more and or risk losing some cause you got to greedy

    please stop thinking about the death penalty when storing pixels wont really make that much of a impact on the game , thats if they fix pixels etc and balance them out

    ALSO , yous are automatically trying to dismiss this suggestion when there could be many other ways this could be put in place etc

    maybe you can only deposit 500 pixals maybe a 1000 who knows

    maybe you need to get a bank on your ship , maybe you need to craft a bank from 50 iron

    Don't change the aspect of losing pixels when you die, leave it just like it is. That is what will keep me playing the game because it remains a challenge through and through and when you go out there running around like a chicken with his head cut off you will learn your lessons the hard way. The fact that you can't give pixels to other players to craft items is awesome also. Each player needs to get their hands dirty, go out there try not to die, save up and then if they are successful they are reworded with a weapon or armor that they earned.

    Personally, the pixel loss on death isn't really that big of a deal, and the patch last night dropped it from a 35% to 20% loss. The real death penalty is the loss of progress. Being on the other side of the planet and getting knocked off a cliff is far more of a punishment, to me, than losing a few pixels that I'll likely regain on the trek back out. Pixels are pretty easy to farm, you just need to use melee for your kills, as the drop rate with bows is skewed for meat dropping. I wouldn't mind a storage system, even if just itemizing the pixels to store in regular chests.

    exactly , i dont see how pixel storage can make it that big of a deal , you still have to work hard and long to keep storing pixels , and you will be spending them etc so you will always be working on a stock

    The inconvenience of losing your spot on the planet is penalty enough. I don't feel that I deserve to lose money because some renegade enemy charged off-screen and wrecked my shit.

    then you sir are on the wrong game , if you think not having this in game will be a good thing your way way wrong , farming pixels is not what makes people grind for playability , to much grinding and you risk losing some of your playerbase , this seems to be heading that route in someway , because you keep dying you feel the game is more fun to keep going forward to farm more , but what happens when newer stuff comes out and gets really really expensive and lets say 5x as hard as it is at the end , you will be heading down a lose of pixels if your not careful

    i personally like grindy games but i hate the fact i cant store pixels and deposit / withdraw them from when ever i like farming pixels is hard enough for me and ive not even done the first boss , im personally a scavenger i take everything and sell anything of little value or that i dont need

    You can't even die in this game, so this suggestion is moot.

    If you are in danger above ground just port to ship.
    If you are in danger below ground just save and exit then reconnect.

    You just can't die in this game as it is unless you get super greedy.

    I've actually been saying that your position should be saved to the planet if you are not on the planet surface, so you can't exploit save and exit. I also wouldn't mind it if porting to the ship was restricted to being out of combat and/or away from enemies.

    how about instead of removing the pixel penalty by "banking" them, you could craft a "block of pixels" from like 5-10 thousand pixels

    edit: another way could be a mechanic similar to dark souls, where your pixels, instead of instantly disappearing, would be "deposited" into some sort of storage item, which would disappear if you died again before picking it up (but the percentage of pixels dropped would have to be increased to compensate for this)

    Or we could do a best of both worlds approach, so you can deposit pixels but when you die you lose all the ones you have on hand. Then there is a huge penalty for dying when you aren't responsible.
