I'll put all my suggestions here-they tend to pop up in other threads. In "Digging Too Deep" http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/digging-too-deep.3850/page-4#post-105963 I made concentrated derail! After my eyebrows grew back I posted this: Science says that when you approach the core you explode in a fountain of brainpellets... but science does not necessarily equal fun. Ultimate heat-pressure suit? I'd personally like there to be dirt dirt rock rock rock semi-molten rock (valuable ore, magma pockets, other hazards) at which point you need heat/pressure protection to survive for any amount of time, then a layer of pure magma, then a solid near-impenetrable core. (best drill/pick/nuke/LAZOR in the game required to break it?) And at the center... a single block of ore. Perhaps this is the "bedrock" that designates that this is a planet when everything else has been blasted to dust and filed into appropriate chests. Or perhaps there IS a way in, that the devs don't reveal. And the ore (which you need a hundred of) makes some form of uber-god gear. And then this: Perhaps when you turn up anywhere, there's a classic eerie space music and you can place blocks and otherwise there's nothing there. If a "bedrock" is detected then it's a planet with all associated Stuff-the type of planet is determined by blocks. This also allows for manual terraforming (got a forest planet, want a desert? Dig up all the dirt and let the sand rain!)
Well, your crazy. But that's ok, cause normality is overrated. to build a planet from scratch would be awesome. I'd love to build my own planet deathstar and use it to conquer the universe.
