AFTER Release - What will you do?

So I have a question for all of you out there, after the release of the starbound beta, what do you intend on doing?

Showing off your creations on the forums? Making videos (videos, not just LPs, please)? Sink into the game and do nothing else but that? Will you avoid the forums until you've played the game to the end (whatever end there is for beta) to avoid spoilers? Visit the Chat section of the forums? Start looking towards future Chucklefish releases?


I myself will try to create videos that aren't LPs (showcases, structures, possibly go back to showing off suggestions, etc). However I will mainly do this when the new year starts, as sort of a new start to things.

 

Play the game.

 

Probably just play I'm not really the sharing type but I encourage others too. I'll be on the Forums, just not as much as recently.

 

To me this is just another what will you do when you play thread with a slightly different t-shirt

But for the sake of it all, play lots, frequent the forums a bit (Prob not as much as now)

 

Creating world peace and solving world hunger....who am I kidding going to play Starbound and Arkham City Goty which I will get a day after beta release.

 

Okay... play.. play... play.... some more play... anything very specific and unique? Build a giant purple castle? Form more mini-communities? More fan-art?

 

I'll actually try out the beta tester thing where you share bugs and things. I've pre-ordered a few games previously and just played it and didn't really help. I kind of want to contribute in a way this time around, given this game is quite possibly everything I've ever wanted in this type of game. Space + Sandbox + graphics my old bucket of a computer can run and still look good? Yes. yeeeeeeessssssssss.

 

Heh, I get my PS4 sometime in the next week too. I know I will set it up and play a bit, but the next gen will have to wait I am afraid, my sword is needed in space!!

 

Immediately after Starbound is released, my laptop and I will crawl under a rock and emerge sometime during next year. You ladies and gentlemen have a wonderful Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, April Fools Day, Memorial Day, and for good measure, Labor Day.

 

I'll be playing the hell out of every aspect of the game to see what I can uncover with regards to bugs or improvements. In between that I'll be streaming some sessions with some of my guild mates to see if we can drum up interest in the game prior to the full launch. All of this is in between family life, my day job, and studying of course.

 

My goal is to be nomadic mainly and show of my adventures.

Eventually, if I find the perfect planet, I'll begin trying to make the best home anyone as ever seen.

Oh, and of course, trying to find all the bugs.

Massive Deforestation, then after I have shown nature what for I shall build a small dirt hut. i tend to make restrictions for myself when i play games so i might make personal challenge modes, nocturnal only, zero fighting or, god help me, ZERO DEATHS

 

After release? Work on my magic mod. Because wizards. Harry.

Assuming you mean release as in full release. If you mean beta, then... play the game and work on the sprites for my magic mod when my friends go afk.

 

write 2 papers and study for finals

 

Well, beta releases at 11 am my time. I'll still be working on an engine. Then I'll go to work. Then, whenever I happen to get done at the plant, I suppose I'll come home, download the beta, and play it.

 

Play some more and hopefully real life stuff fits in around it.
