It's necessary if you want to get the other marriage candidates to 10 hearts for the sake of completion. Sure from a non game design perspective it's weird, but you wouldn't be able to 10 heart all the Bachelors/Bachelorettes if you couldn't buy more than one.
Really? I thought just getting them gifts would get them to ten hearts. In fact, I got Abigail to ten hearts before I gave her a bouquet.
I think he is advertising his side business. Really though, I agree. It's for completion sake. And I got Pam up to 10 hearts via gifts. So the bouquet might just be the trigger for actual martial status. Has anyone tried to give the bouquet to other people?
Pssh I usall I have while married the bouquet is basicly telling the game that you've found someone you wanna marry and trigger the that crusty old sea guy to give you the pendent for marriage but I've given every Bachlor/ett a bouquet with no issues. so far...still testing. also note on the same saved game
It should be noted though that your spouse could get jealous with you giving gifts all over the place. Though I think if you don't talk to them after you've given out the gifts then they won't lose any hearts. I think all the single ladies (and lads) only stop at 8 once you get married? Or maybe once you give someone else a bouquet. I'm not sure though cause I gave my boo her bouquet right after I got her to 8 hearts. Only the villagers listed as single will stop at 8 hearts. Everyone else will go right up to 10
I can confirm that the ladies and gents that are single do stop at 8 hearts even after you get married so you have to givem em all bouquets even after marriage my advice. Get everone to ten hearts in the single cat then pick your love...but good luck on your choices
