I'm currently working on a personal edit to an old custom race mod (with permission it may go into a release version), I'm wondering if there is a way to add description/Inspection text to existing items in the game to have them a little more integrated to the universe.
Yeah, by adding a new line to an object along the lines of: "yourracenameDescription" : "blah blah blah", Every other race has a line like that in an object.
Hopefully this can be done with patch files to both lower file sizes and boost compatibility with other mods, since if the idea works with one mod, it might work with others and a template could be made.
It definitely does work with patch files, and several race mods have already doneso in the past. @Kawa has a plugin for his Felins that patches into numerous older objects to add unique Felin inspection text.
