Actual Space

I think that there should be a small hatch in your spaceship and you can climb out of it and float around in space you also can find rare rocks or asteroid and you have certain tools and things that make you able to harvest some of this rock/ore

You would have to have some special armour or helmet to make you able to breathe in space or you would suffocate but you can not get lost because there is a kind a rope thing attached to your suit

A type a rocket/jet-pack attached to your suit to pre pell yourself around space but you need fuel to power it you would also be able to upgrade and personalize your outfit/uniform

You can also find other type of npc's and enemys you can also board other peoples ships and raid them e.t.c

I don't think you can get out the ship (it would probably be a lot of extra work to make asteroids in space like that), but if you beam down to the surface you can climb up to space. Just not so far up that you'd reach the ship. There was a video on it a while back.

 

I thought there was supposed to be Asteroid Biomes you could visit... i could be wrong. And if i am then this gives someone a great Mod idea. =)

There is going to be an asteroid biome if you travel far enough away from the surface of a planet. Here's a very, very early version of it.



Note: in the final version the asteroids will actually look like asteroids.
