Since the update today, I've been playing for several hours. I'm having issues where the only planets I find are acid ones, with no water.

There are either too many acid planets or i'm just being very unlucky at the moment, Kinda makes the game annoying to play.

He mean't that most of his planets have contained acid water (Poison debuff that stacks), but I can also confirm that most of my planets have acid, I have gone to 10 and 6 of them had acid

Is it really an issue? Sure, it's dangerous, but just bring a stack or two of an easily minable material (i.e, dirt) and just cover them up

I'm not sure if it's a change, or maybe I just am getting unlucky, but I made a new charactor for the new patch and am getting tons of acid planets.

nah he means acid, as in acid puddles everywhere, acid rain.

My fresh character started on such a planet, it's been interesting. As a bonus, the acid pools kill stuff for me and i loot em lol.

helpful hints - use your manipulator to put up a dirt "roof" where you run about, this can shield you from acid rain (and lazor birds!)
use dirt, place in acid pool, displaces and removes acid.
    Bring bandages.
Use platforms - you can jump up to them and back down through with space+s, make ladders of single wooden platform jump points, or extend them across dangerous gaps.
Keep your area lit, know where the hazards are.

Far as I know? Water doesn't have many uses, as of v. Angry Koala.

From what I've seen so far, you can see from outer space if the planet has poisoned water or not. If it has green color on it, there's poison/acid. If there's blue color, it has normal water and no poison.

It might just be your luck as I've only come across one acid planet in a series of nine so far.

  11. Thanks goodness there isn't a thirst meter too.

I usually find acid on forest/jungle planets, try every other planet type.
