About to hit the third stretch goal!

As of 4/29/2013 we are $7 302 away from completing, what do you guys think? Sudden silence from the dev team, and then suddenly the beta gets released? Hope so.

 

I think that there will be another goal it nor that the beta is just around the corner I think we should wait for the beta this summer and autumn, the relase

 

I doubt we'll hit a million anytime soon, and i'm not that excited about pets anyway, it's not like they'll be useful at all.

Let's just hope the next stretch goal will be better.

 

I would like to see another stretch goal but i can't think of anything that could benefit everyone as a whole, though a lot of people have good ideas .

 

I hope it's the last goal. I really don't want to f***ing see people bitch and whine for about 20 different threads and 50+ pages in a single thread about "THIS GOAL ISN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR 1,xxx,xxx$!"
And I hope the beta is in the next two months, but I see it around Late July - Early September instead.

 

nah, I doubt it, they've stated before that as soon as they know the release date that we will too, I would assume the same can be said about the beta release date. As far as stretch goals go I don't think they'd stop here, I don't really have any logical reasoning behind my thoughts, but it just doesn't seem like they'd stop to me.

I'm almost certain that a few more goals can be reached before the beta is released, though that's not really a reason that they should put up another goal, and unless it's a really amazing/desirable goal it probably won't draw in many more pre-orders than it would if there weren't a stretch goal. Further more stretch goals mean more work for them, and they don't want anything so large it will delay the release. So logically it doesn't seem like there should be more, but they love their community and their community loves stretch goals, so I predict more stretch goals.

 

All of this is purely speculation:

I'm thinking a trailer will be released soon, maybe around the time pre-orders hit $1 mil. There will be some discussion and another stretch goal will be announced, but there will be some people not happy about this one as well, maybe on the dev's side as well since there was such an uproar over the last one. By the time E3 comes about (wasn't there another thing they were going to in Europe?) they will have a "polished" solarsystem or 2 for people to mess about with and travel through, an updated character creator, and of course the trailer.

Then of course the next stretch goal will be met and another thread like this one will be made ("ugh is it ever going to be released", yes... eventually) and another goal will be set and the beta will be released before it is met.

Again, this is all speculation/thoughts/whatever with no proof to back any of it. Just my mind going off...

As for the pole, I think YES it will be the last stretch goal, but I think there will still be some form of incentive to preorder, and in terms of beta, NO I do not think it is right around the corner.
As far as I am concerned, we wont see beta until WELL after the May newsletter, so probably into June at least.

 

It's clear that it'll be hitting a million within the next three days at LEAST.

As for other stretch goals, I doubt they'll pop out a final one. Pets were chosen because they would be much more simple to do and wouldn't take many resources to do. I doubt they'd want to 'stretch' themselves out any more.

But I do think there will be another strechgoal and I dont think the beta is close to "ready for payed open beta".

 

I think that this is (and really really should be, but not because the last one was pets) the last stretch goal. My only wish is that we get some information on release or Beta after this goal. At least in the May newsletter since that's right around the corner. To be honest I don't believe the Beta will be here like tomorrow, but I do not think that it will take all the way until the end of summer (August), like a lot of people seem to be thinking. I have a strange feeling (but remember this is just a feeling of a time lord wannabe) that the Beta may be nearing completion of itself (just the BETA though obviously). My reasoning is because Tiy has actualy given us some pretty nice footage in his live stream, though he did say not to read into him too much and he could have just been doing that out of boredom lol.
