About people complaining about people complaining?

So I see a bunch of people complaining about the people who complain about character wipes, which seems like a nonexistant group to me. Every time I check the forum, I only see people complaining about those people, which seems a little petty since nobody has really been complaining about that here since before it happened, afaik. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, but making a bunch of junk threads about complaints towards complaints towards complaints seems really counterproductive. I'm not trying to say that this thread is different, I'm just trying to get everything straight for my own sake.

 

Agreed . There is more rabid fanboys hating on imaginary complainers than there are actual complainers.

 

yeah mods have been locking threads all day about these issues, the basic point is that some people have a hard time defining constructive criticism vs. blatent nonsense and it won't change anytime soon. Also making threads talking about this issue in particular really isn't helping anyone or solving anything so could we please stop beating this poor mutilated dead horse?

 

And you just added +1 to the junk threads. So maybe you should take your own advice

 

I'm not sure if you read the entire thing. I admitted to doing so, and gave my reasoning, no matter how petty. You don't need to be a jerk and try to mock me for wanting clarification.

I'm tired of seeing threads on imaginary issues every other minute. It's like people are purposefully trying to start drama.

Like someone makes a thread, saying "I believe that this aspect is flawed because...and I think it can be improved in..." and ten minutes later there will be a thread that is all "STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT DES ISSUE ITS PUBLIC BETA STOP HAVING ALL-CAPS RAGES ABOUT DES ISSUE AND GROW UP". Seriously, the hell is going on in people's heads?

Moderators really need to hammer down and start locking them. Including this one, though.

 

In all fairness, this isn't about me complaining about any sort of group. I was just wondering if the whiny "waaa wiped my characters this game sux" group of people actually exist, since I've never seen anyone actually complain about it. I thought this was the only place appropriate to ask, since it IS "general discussion".

Well you achieved your goal and got my attention for about 7 seconds before I stopped reading. You are no different from those that complain. /facepalm

You're not the first, and certainly won't be the last. I'm not even complaining about anybody. I was only asking if people really whined about character wipes, since I've not seen a single thread like that. The amount of people in this thread alone that only read the title and first line is appaling.

The amount of people who see a question as a complaint is really uh... telling, to say the least.

 

It's a bit bad on both sides.
There are tons complaining about the game because of bugs/ it being to hard/ problem with the beta (i.e. the character wipe and problems with new patch) etc
and
Those who are offended by what others have said and feel they need to defend it/ like it the way it is / feel all this complaining is going to make devs change the game to their favor and ruin it for them..

Though there are occasion when someone is trying to ask something or suggesting a change (not whining but stating a opinion in which they think can improve the game) and then flaming ensues thereafter.
Just as I've seen thread where people are intentionally trolling just to get a rise out of member.

Honestly though, this thread isn't doing much help in that department. case in point, the comments in this thread.

TL;DR. Many people have different opinion about how this game should be and you'll never be able to please everyone. Also this thread doesn't help the matter.
