About old updates and compatibility of universes

    Good Day!

    I hope that's the right place to ask my question.

    So me and my pal were playing Starbound on version 1.0. Then we stopped playing it for a while. We started playing again a couple of days ago. Is it necessary to create new characters and universes now? Because we had lots of neat stuff on our old server, we don't want to lose it. But I know that, for example, update 1.1 brought Novakid villages into game. Is it possible to find these villages in our universe, even though it was generated before the update?

    You should be fine. I've found Novakid villages on a character I started on 1.0.
