I know this is quite a simple idea and an obvious one but it would be nice if we could copy and create every block on the 3D printer for pixels so we don't have to go and destroy entire villages for blocks to create our own settlements. This idea came to mind when I was playing as the Hyotl but I only had a limited amount of blocks to create a Feudel Japan style house witht he blocks from their starter ship. Alternatively, it would be nice if we could start creating a larger variety of blocks.
Already tons of posts like this one. But we all agree fully. Btw, check out this other (Very Relevant) suggestion, I really like it. http://community.playstarbound.com/...inspecting-objects-blocks.62069/#post-1637196 If I am breaking any rules, or generating discomfort by having posted a link to another Suggestion, please tell me, and I will remove it myself.
I was thinking that my post would be quite a popular idea and I think the linked post is a great way of solving this issue; using the inspector tool is quite a smart way to get blueprints for blocks and to copy them. Don't be afraid of posting links to your replies in order to direct them to a similar idea; most of the time it's good to show a person that it is a common idea and that there is an improved version of it which someone-else has put up. I found the thread very interesting and a lot more fleshed out than my own.
I tried the Portable Printer but it only makes very simple, metallic blocks from what I've seen of it. Unless, I'm somehow missing a way of copying or unloocking more blocks?
YES, MOAR BLOCK SCANNING. I had to bulldoze (with a mod) an Avian village to get the soft brick I wanted in a decent amount. It was hilarious but still, I don't wanna tear down villages just to build a decent looking house.
I like it. There is plenty of blocks that we aren't able to craft, and could be useful in creating themed buildings (thatched roof, glitch castle roof, lots of kinds of bricks) but destroying whole villages is annoying and so selfish ( )
