A way to defeat bosses

You can create an arena similar to this to protect yourself from the bosses. Just plop the summoning device on the center raised platform and jump under it. Bosses cannot touch you. I recommend making the pillars father apart than what you see in this screen shot as the flying bosses tend to be too big to get pigeon holed inside the pillars. I also recommend making the pillar entrance to the arena no higher than 4 blocks as the jelly monsters have a deceptively small hit box and can walk in that way. The distance between the raised platform and the pillars should be about 3 blocks to prevent Fatal Circuit from falling down.

Is that needed even? Bosses are pretty easy now if your gear is up to date.

    It's for style.
Haven't you ever wanted to fight a monster in the confines of a fabulous arena?
Well now you can! I even have a prayer altar in the left cell so you can pray to whatever god you want before embarking on your one way ticket to doom.
I prefer aesthetics, so I couldn't bring myself to make those ugly caves that people on Youtube tell you to do.
I even have a chest full of spears under the platform to give those gladiators a fair chance!

Apparently that floran shaman wants to kill some tasty bosses in there.

I find it better to just spawn bosses in NPC towns. You'll even get assistance in the fight from the guards.

In some of the lower level bosses like the robot, once spawned just trap him in dirt of some material and defeat him there. Or like the post above me, Just spawn him in a town and let the guards do the work ;)

I don't trust NPCs. Every time I have done that, the Guards suddenly turn on me as if I attacked them.

Even though i said bosses don't need cheesing at the moment, i did do a fair deal of cheesing. To be honest, all you need is a bunch of turret towers. I spawned both dragon boss and slime boss near my base and they got obliterated by a barrage of bullets from all the turrets that protect my base. They had no chance.

Let them attack first. As long as you don't hit any of them, and the boss has gotten their attention, it's not so bad.

Yeah, this is exactly why bosses need an overhaul. There are way too many exploits available to crafty players. They seriously need some countermeasures to blocks (or at least those placed by PCs) to be true competition to your average player.

I would like a "To Go Box" for this boss here as this boss definitely needs to go!
    I can make one?
    Neat.

And here we have the universe's most "savage" creatures! In this cage we got the "deadly" Dragon Boss!

Best tactic for me is clearing out a glitch castle, holing up in it, fortify the doors and windows. Set up a few turret's inside at the windows for suppression.
go outside and set up the spawner. and let it go.

Or you can just dig a 3 wide, 7 high trench and range them to death. Bosses on this game are pitifully easy.
