RELEASED A.V.I.A.N. Avian Core

I've actually been tentatively fiddling with something like that along with the dancing sprites, with a more business-like pose, even if I'm not sure how to implement it.

The larger size of the object, and whether it's fixed to the wall or floor, might mess with how the the tech station is spawned and anchored...or something like that. I'm not sure how it might react.

 

Yeah, I've been playing around with that thought. But it would mean I would have to mess around in the ship files too. That would make custom race support even more complicated

I guess I need the name, but also the location of the .object file and if it's not in the usual location, the name and location of all folders that lead to it, so I can recreate it in my mod

 

Yeah me too! At this rate, leinglo will have you a full-blown companion mod or armor set made up xD

Edit: leinglo, the only thing I could sugest about the avian image you made is to add in some more of the lighter shade of blue like on top of her head to color her in a bit nicer. Maybe use a Novakid body?

The Ponex race is in the pony modpack, as "ponex". They have a unique questportrait .png, but as far as I can see, no techstation... I might be overlooking it, but.

Let's not get carried away now, , I've already got what seems like a legion of people on the Workshop wanting me to make armor, vehicles, and content for every faction in my Warhammer 40k mod, and all after I made just a handful of guns.

I didn't think of that, that's a really good idea. Glad you suggested it before I uploaded the holodancers, I may go back and rework those with elements from the Novakid body as well.

 

I just tested, and confirmed - she's working right with Ponex and Lopunny races.

What about AmazonValkyrie's Viera race?
I'd much appreciate their inclusion in your mod. The species ID is "viera" (as in ..\Starbound\mods\Viera\Species\viera.species if I am guessing right as to which file you need identified).
Go ahead and give the mod a look, if you don't already know it. It is absolutely worth it.
It already has its own SAIL-variant, but variety - you know.

 

Gonna put it onto a list of races to add. Once I get enough again I'll make another update!


Also the steam workshop version of my mod is really doing very well! :O

 

Just saw this was updated, forgot to hop on the Forums until now. AVIAN seems to be working just fine now, now to redo the missed AI messages on a different character.

It seems she's incompatible with Frackin Universe, at least as far as the Science outpost goes. You click on that mission, and suddenly the game crashes, saying it's missing dialogue for that mission. Just wanted to give a heads up.

 

Good to know, I'll wait until a fix is done before doing that mission.

 

No problem. Though you can uninstall her, take the mission and set a bookmark on the teleport there to bypass it. Just try to remember selecting the revisit option will still crash.

 

Just a tiny point here, installed it, used a new char to see how it works on your first steps, and i love it, but there's 1 message, not pretty important... but when you pick up copper....... Nah joke

I mean the one when you get core fragments, she shouldn't assume that you are on the core mining them

Copper bars will never be the same to me tho.....

 

Does AVIAN have such emphasized boobs, though?

At least in this image, Avian seems pretty flat-chested. Or at least there is no cleavage.



So, to be true to AVIAN, such a hologram would need some changes.

 

Those are just WiP shots, but you're right. I am working to make the chest a little less emphasized. I already had to do that for the holo-dancer, removing the...uh, "jiggle."

Aaaaand it has just now struck me that if someone were to walk in and ask what I was doing the answer would be "fine-tuning pixelated boobs."

 

...I wanted to make an AVIAN t-shirt for the heck of it, but I didn't realize the typical size of the chest sprites were 7x5 pixels... No way you could fit anything even closely resembling her on any outfit. >.<
