A symbol for Pixels

I've noticed it's been pretty much established that pixels are the currency... but I think it'd be nice (especially for pricing on corps) for there to be a symbol for them... something on every keyboard that's recognizable.

I personally like [P], -P-,|P|, or even just P
Please post your own ideas for a symbol below, or just tell me what you think.

PS- this is obviously not a corporation, but I couldn't think of a better place to post it, where it pertains and people that see it will care

Okay, so the most sensible ideas with the most support are pretty much (example showing some colors)...

#1 El square... 200■ 200■ 200■ 200■
#2 El circle+P thingy... 200ⓟ 200ⓟ 200ⓟ 200ⓟ
#3 El Pile-o-pixels... 200

So from this point, either post a new idea that I may add to the list, point out an option I may have missed that a few people seemed to support... or say

(# of the above you think is best) IZ GUD IDEAR

It looks nice, but part of the reason is to keep it around 3 letters/symbols or less

Does a simple P suffice?

Ex: That costs 700P

 

Using just P would be the best but if you wanted something more complex, something like 100& could even do. Because Starbound money is called pixels the symbol doesn't have the have the letter p in it. You don't see the dollar sign with the letter d in it.

 

Thats what I was trying to think about so I searched random symbols but I had no luck.

I think regardless of what we name it, a lot of people will still use $ to represent Pixels. Though if anything, i'm thinking we use [P] or *P.

 

Exactly my reasoning though, if you're already typing out a number, wouldn't it be easier to just hit shift and then 4 instead of going all of the way to p?

I don't think it needs a P. It just looks convoluted when where is more than one symbol/letter.

Imo, the simplest understandable way is to simply say 800px. You don't have to hit shift so its quick, and it avoids the convolution because it just looks like your actually abbreviating "Pixel"

It could work in game, as just the symbol, yeah. But for typing it, we'd still have to put Pixels, or P for short.

 

I still think somethin with a * is optimal
