Your making a highly vague statement, also you are being hyperbolic. Your whole statement is just "I am frustrated with waiting".
Also ETA estimated times of arrival are never to be taken seriously has nothing to do with goodwill.

Yup they have bad pr and are getting a pr guy. Still complaining won't really help.

    I'm actually not.

    Goodwill
a : a kindly feeling of approval and support : benevolent interest or concern

b (1) : the favor or advantage that a business has acquired especially through its brands and its good reputation

and to add on to that, ETAs for patch arrival really don't matter. They're nice to know and all, but if you think about it, not important to anyone but the devs.

You know you sort of just proved yourself wrong?

    also

Maybe you don't have good reading comprehension. For those of us fed up with unrealistic estimates that are never met, Chucklefish has no more good reputation to grant them favor or advantage.

Edit: I'm not saying faith is an inaccurate term to use. Faith could've been used too. But I am saying "goodwill" was not a mistake.

I gave you the dictionary definition of "goodwill" for business purposes, I don't really know how to refute you any better than that.

None of my statement is "I am frustrated with waiting." All of my statement is "I am frustrated with Chucklefish not having a clue how to interact with the public." If an ETA is not to be taken seriously then why post them to twitter at all?

you still confused goodwill with faith and proved yourself wrong with definition of goodwill

Cortex command is a fantastic game. Never had problems with it in the way people keep complaining about it. Have played over 200hrs of cortex command and I still love that game.

On another note, the Zack and Tarn Adams (of Dwarf fortress, which IS the best game/toy ever made) ALWAYS post something for the community, and are seriously active in critical aspects of their community. That is what makes the extreme release cycle so bearable with DF and sets DF way apart from other gaming communities. In this community we have to rely on hand-me-down information to know whats up. A simple and more consistent 'Hold onto your butts, the patch release is delayed because of rain' would go a long way to alleviating some (not all) of the childish behavior in this forum.

The definition of goodwill backed up the fact that I did not confuse them.

You refuted me very good. Ignoring the definition of faith really proved your point.

If I must state the obvious though.

Starbound has a good reputation from all the good coverage its getting and word of mouth. People have no faith in the devs ability to estimate which day has what event.

Also. People support Chucklefish and the game is met with approval from almost everyone. People are interested in the game and people show concern over its development.

Something else to note though is that people don't think of goodwill in the business sense.

If I judged everything in my life by how it performed in the first six weeks I'd never have discovered just how enjoyable my faithful and dependable ____ is.

Oh don't get me wrong, I adore the game, but the developer has essentially gone silent, once again.

I was going to come up with a witty retort.. but.. That example falls flat on its face. Nearly everything performs fantastic in the first six weeks, I can't think of anything that has gotten better the older it is ASIDE from things like Starbound which are being consistently developed.

I don't think Data will be working on it CC now. Sucks.

Something to note is that I think he was already in the process of developing a sequel or new IP so that also sucks.

Yeah I mentioned the latter in one of my posts. Really, he should never have released it on Steam, most of the dislike, and the metacritic score came from that.

It really is an unfinished product.

I'm experimenting with ignoring people. It's actually more trouble than it's worth because I see the responses without seeing who they quoted.

Ohey, well that's nice to see, though I fear it's far too late.

Yeah I was considering doing the same, I just decided I would be the model of control and ignore them by just not responding.
